I already watch part 1. What I mean is that after putting the VWAP indicator, it's not showing as yours. Yours is just 3 lines. What and what did you remove or add to get that 3 lines only?

Here's how I see the problem with identifying trend vs choppy markets. If I could have you explain this to me (as well others I'm sure), it would help tremendously.... A trend is not a trend until it is...everything else would, therefore, be choppy. But how do you know that while in the moment(s)? It's great in hindsight, and I'm a bagillionaire in that backetesting game. I just need to turn that around from 9:30-1100.

Sir you have no idea how good works on forex and bitcoin too!! Wish you would focus on the VWAP bands strategy. Only one thing wish you would find how to trade trending with VWAP (only and not bands).

For those asking about trend, if the VWAP isn't flat, the market is trending pretty strongly up or down.

There are not many RU-vid video that focuses on deviation than middle line as a VWAP strategy. +/- 3 Sigma is stronger reversal point than +/- 2 Sigma and I love it,though I use both. Also middle line will more often revers than penetrate or pass through ike zigzag in my experiences.

Ok, you ask for questions, here's my most frustrating problem, what is a good way to determine earliest in the trading day if it is a range bound day or a trend day??? I have figured out that we have approximately 54 trend days a year...but that's not enough to gain an edge...so please help us? Thanks

Great information. Biggest point to me is, trending and choppy markets cannot be traded the same. It would seem that you can therefore not use the same indicators for each market. Could you do a video on good indicators for each market?

Actually Bary's cycle indicator works equally in both when you know how to use it properly. Choppy markets are really bad to trade though,, too random and no logical structure = too many losers vs winners. Why trade it?

what if i BUY when price crosses below -2 stdev and keep adding/ buying to my position to ensure that my average price and current price stay close?

The concept is good ... but the problem is that the "average" continues to change over time, so where your trade eventually statistically reverts to can be a very different price from where it was when you started averaging into the trade, causing a net loss on the sum of the trade entries.

Question about the rubber band trade and how it can relate to the Vwap . I use 1000 tick with top dog 5 energy. Would I also set the Vwap to 1000 tick for an extra energy or use the one minute?

Thank you for the question. They're too different strategies with a different mathematical strategy underlying them.

1 minute chart? You might add a 9 Ema. I also like the 200 Ema for direction better. The vwap seems to work better for me on the 3 minute. If course this is just my opinion/ strategy.

@@TopDogTrading and I'm thinking since it's XAUUSD it's trades as forex and thus tick volume which might not be ideal depending on how vwap is calculated. Something to investigate!

hi about the cycle indicatore i still have a problem understanding the 5 bar exit as you said at the end of the trend how do i know where the first bar begin and the end of the fifth

Any special tips for using this on Forex. Couldn't use it in Think or Swim as they don't use volume well. I was able to use it on Futures for GBPUSD since that has good volume data. I was also able to use it on my TradingView that I run a few other special indicators as my medium time frame window.

Excellent observation. Volume tools like VWAP are not as effective with spot Forex because it doesn't have a central exchange.

@@TopDogTrading I also now noticed that VWAP having 2 standard deviation lines could be useful for the rubber band trade. This is the first day looking at it like that so may not be as useful later in the day.

I use vwap on forex. I find that volume tick data on forex is a remarkably accurate proxy for volume with occasional exceptions, there's an interesting research paper by Caspar Marnay on the topic. Do think vwap is easier to trade on stocks using the conventional vwap based strategies.

On Tradingview, it won't show the VWAP for a currency pair. How do you use this strategy with FOREX?

In my opinion VWAP doesn't work as well on Forex. It's used by institutions for stocks, and their involvement is what makes it significant.
