I ordered an aftermarket Central locking kit and hope that this video will help you install yours. The kit i used www.ebay.co.uk... Any enquirys email PranceProject@yahoo.com My Instagram ... Facebook / pranceproject
I fitted mine in the bottom of the door as the solenoid has a straight pull of the lock mechanism in the door. I used factory rods for the front doors and coat hanger wire for the rest. Never had a issue with them 😁
How does the installation sit with the immobiliser? Is it connected to it? If so where is the immobiliser situated? Or are the two things working independantly? If so how is the immobiliser operated? Thanks
Did you end up cutting the remote keys that came in the kit ? I found some replacement VW keyblades for the flip key so that it would fit a t4, but when i took it to get cut at the local locksmiths, I was told that the keys supplied with the central locking kit didn't have an immobiliser chip in them so it wouldn't start the van. Just wondering what you did? Cheers mate!
@@PranceProject cheers appreciate it am a new T4 owner and I always seem to get problems that noone else gets but that's why I love it haha, my locking has 100% failed electrical, all doors lock on the key individually, but not on button or all together with the key as it did before but the button still actives the immobiliser.. The LED has a solid light on the receiver which I presume its a fault, just unsure how it will affect the immobiliser if I change the centralocking
@@PranceProject I believe I may have the original the central locking as the QA date says passed 1998, but it looks like the wires have been butcherd into the always live, I can remove the fuse and van starts but also if I press the button on the fob the indicators flicker and then no crank.. I have the original actuators which are four pin, but as of very recently I noticed the receiver light is solid and noting works, if worse comes to worse I could fit new system with new actuators both door, sliding doors and and tailgate and possibly leave the old one in situ for the remote immobiliser
