The most popular J. S. Bach organ composition perfomed on accordion! Teacher: Kazys Stonkus (Vytautas Magnus Music Academy) Sound recording: Dominykas Loda Video: Karolis Krivickas Recorded in Kauno Evangelikų Liuteronų bažnyčia
As an accordion player I really thought it was fake because the piano keys always sounded different in many parts without pushing registers.... but then I realized it and i was like.... "WAIT... Does this thing has registers ON TOP? ....AND YOU PUSH THEM WITH YOU'R CHIN? I...NEEED IT"
Lol.
So impressed - I've played the accordion for over 50 years and attempted Bach's Toccata and Fugue on organ too, but never heard anything this crisp and fluent on a solo accordion - even Vytenis's fingering appears effortless. Best accordion video I've seen.
Грамотное исполнение И.С.Баха.Строгость,сдержанность,при этом музыкант донес до нас,слушателей главную идею этой музыки,стиля.Прекрасное произведение!!!
How is it possible that this only has 92k views in 3 years. Absolutely crazy. If you ever come to Toronto Canada… let me know. I would love to meet you in person… and listen to you in person. What an amazing player.
Good god said the atheist. Tears in my eyes. Jolly good show. Giving off strong accordion playing vampire vibes here. One of my favourite classical pieces played from memory is impressive enough but sounding like an entire orchestra with the dynamics of the performance. Bravo.
I once had a lesson from Carmen Carrozza who won the title of "Best Accordion Player in the World" In my opinion this guy should hold that title now a days. He is the best I have ever heard. ❤
Superb playing. Bravo! It's astonishing, and rather gratifying, that Bach's D Minor is becoming something of a rite of passage for aspiring accordionists. It all helps to alter the general public's perception of the accordion.
I'd also like to congratulate the recording team. The video is simple but effective, and doesn't intrude on the music. And the sound they've created with two microphones is amazing. Not pretentious boutique mics, either. A Rode NT1A and a small diaphragm condenser that I can't immediately identify. As always, it's all about precise placement. Well done!
Proud to be the 300th subscriber. Masterful. Also, because it is not possible to leave a comment on some of the other songs, I will say here that Pasivaikščiojimas po lietaus is a lovely composition. Such a serene melody and beautifully played. Please continue to put up new songs.
