He was engaged, that's fascinating. I have respect for the fact that unlike some other popular rock stars of that time, he didn't just jump in and out of relationships and marriages. It seems like he's able to focus on music and his own life even without a relationship.

His lyrics and song writing skills are more relevant today in 2020 than they ever were

I listened to WASP years ago up until they made The Headless Children album. After that, my life went down hill and I lost interest in everything, including music. It's great now to find all these interviews and albums that I've never heard before. Blackie Lawless still has that amazing and unique voice that caught my ear all those years ago!

Very candid and moving interview. The song Manimal has helped me through some difficult times I can tell you, particularly the line half beast half man. During moments of introspection it sometimes comes to me, it's like a healing process you know?

glad he recall this to people . wasp in the begining as well as Sister before if you look the agression for the time .. the attitude , the look ... the show it was pretty dark ... it was balls out heavy metal .. with thrashy edges at times and also very vicious atmospheres .. with the outfit .. Wasp influenced pretty much Death metal and Black metal in that stuff more than and before Venom and stuff did ( Sister was 1976-1978 .. venom wasnt there etc..etc..) .. if you ask inside the scene in extreme metal circles .. old school .. no wonder a lot of death metal stuff and co mention wasp as influence . also by that recall , Blackie announces the KFD era . and the attitude of KFD was pretty much like they were before the official 1984 album that a lot of people still focused on .. and didnt understood . kFD ... wasnt a take the train of extreme or marylin manson .. they were like that way before most bands did .

Wtf hahaha all trash bands consider this sunset guys as big posers. Dave Mustaine influenced way more extreme metal than this guy

I love WASP but the crimson Idol should of been the end its an incredible album & would of been a very fitting ending.

Why? Because YOU say so? Really? A man is supposed to give up his livelihood and job, because YOU think it’s time? Nice ego.

@@glengamble526 yeah, exactly. If he e.g. commited a suicide, he'd have been another "legend". Instead, he's a living legend and that's a lot more awesome ;) There's so much cool music we wouldn't have had if he had listened to such "fans" or let the media discourage him
