W Cape Storms | Update on infrastructural damage following inclement weather: Tertuis Simmers

The Western Cape government says over 162 000 people have been affected by recent storms in the province. Over 50 000 structures suffered damage, including road Infrastructure. Provincial Minister for Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers today provided an update on storm damages. This comes after the national Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Velenkosini Hlabisa's declaration of a disaster in the Western Cape.
This means all resources must be pooled to rapidly respond to last week's devastating storms. SABC News Reporter, Mlamli Maneli and video journalist, Josh Sharrock, spoke to provincial Minister for Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers.
