Ken Tanaka is back on the water! This time back in Louisiana fly fishing for big Bull Redfish.
I love going back to Louisiana in the fall. It's super exciting sight casting to BIG bull Redfish in the shallow marsh. I love the food and the vibe there as well. I feel like Louisiana is a different country. On this trip, I was with good friend Dave Teper. We got to spent a couple days with Capt. Rob Burden of Salt Donkey Fly Fishing and a couple days with Capt. Todd Monson of Louisiana OnFly and had a blast.
We had the challenges of tackling a hurricane face-first right in the middle of the trip. The eye of the hurricane, direct hit the area where we were fishing. It was quite a shock to see the destruction first hand. We were amazed at how quickly the bayou bounced back after a hurricane.
