I worked with a dude once and he said when he was little, he grew up in L.A. and him and his mom were at the bus stop and he said two black dudes walked up and said give me your shit, punched her in her face and took her purse. He said they looked at him and said you want some too? He just cried and tried to help his mom up. Ever since then he was always on edge around black people. This was the 80's when he was little. I grew up in Sylmar, San Fernando and Pacoima and there was never too much race tension in the late 90's, if there was i didn't notice.
