I live in this town. Been here since 1976 from NYC. Wish I could leave but I now have grown kids and grandchildren living here. I can't leave my family.
The whole “bad shape” theme song thing gets old after the 30th time you say it. Just for the record Anson County does have internet and while it’s not perfect it’s not as bad as you are making it out to be. Probably should not make assumptions about places you obviously know very little about.
You're right my brother I'm from Houston only thing I like about Houston my family's here. I like ways bro North Carolina my army buddies from there. Richard Hart. Everybody take care be safe be good.
I live here in Wadesboro. We got our problems. Yes, just like everywhere else. but we are not the shit hole that you make us out to me hit Highway 74 go somewhere else
Walmart folded b/c of not being able to keep up with the numerous cases of theft...I see where you turn and my brain is screaming... oh god no, don't go there!! (Cue the banjo music now. ) However, closer to the heart of town you'd find a noble stand of grand old buildings and a historical society that tends local history with love and care. Some great restaurants and a true sense of the grand days of the town now passed. BTW is that the commentary? A song with a repeating line "the town's in bad shape"? OMG I was beginning to think that you were actually video journalists. Uh, my bad.
I have no words for ignorant people driving around with cell phones mocking impoverished communities. The moronic and sophomoric commentary, smugly delivered without any understanding or knowledge of this community’s plight, was all I needed to hear. I had to stop watching before I got to the halfway point. I’ve met some very good people living in Wadesboro. There is a history to this town and the entire region. Taking the time to educate yourselves and talk to the residents instead of doing a drive-by, uneducated rambling would have been a better way to go.
