Really love this guys, they are amazing in every aspects and its okey to try new things in the music sphere even when people disagree, they are still amazing!!!
I got introduced to wage war in 2021 via octane with their single circle the drain. Immediately went and checked their catalog. I absolutely love Manic and I really like Stigma. Catchy melodies and big choruses are popular for a reason. And I’m here for it
I will be at that Florida arena show in Orlando. Totally fuckin stoked. Saw them debut Tombstone live at rockville which was amazing. I live in Ocala, hopefully one of these days I'll run into them around town 🤣😂
In the interview itself, he says that MANIC was a turning point for the band. It was precisely on this album that the band changed their style, more synthesizer-based, more electronic, more pop, melodic, and on STIGMA they did the same, but more melodic and lighter. It would be more honest to say that they changed their personal musical style and this was reflected in the music that the band makes and it will be like this from now on. They will not go back to making 100% heavy music. They did the same as Linkin' Park, which released the Hybrid Theory album, the band's most successful and most remembered album. They followed it up with Meteora, and then they got pissed off about something in relation to their sound and completely changed their sound and said fuck everyone.
I have been telling who ever will listen about the new album and that they have to have sold their souls because 5 albums in and every song is a banger!
Honestly this video had a funny long term kind of joke telling. “You guys aren’t a copy paste band like others can be” and then later go on to say you can’t find songs you don’t like on the record…. Cody says Blur is one of his standouts, yet the opening riff is the EXACT riff Cody wrote for Light Years by The Ghost Inside. Literally copy/pasted a riff…. As the band that gets joked at for Low being like Doomsday by Architects. Wage War record is fine. Songs are listenable, just feels rushed to make a deadline date to me. 10 songs. Some definitely felt unfinished as if they would probably tweak things themselves with more time to do things (ex: hellbent opening country-ish verse… couldve used it in verse 2 but instead it just seems random, despite sounding good). It probably is their worst work, imo, but it’s more accessible to a more casually audience so it won’t be unsuccessful for them. In conclusion, you calling them not a copy paste band made me lol cause it just felt ignorant knowing it just isn’t true. I hope you keep up with other bands releases too and not just the ones you need work from so it seems more genuine and not talking points most interviews have.
I like How they are talking about not being a copy and paste band but then half of stigma is just manic in a different key. There’s way more manic on this album then actual metal
This album was definitely their worst whole project yet, pushing boundaries isn’t the same as copy and pasting manic 5 out of 10 times, Rewriting circle the drain and then having maybe 3 or 4 original sounding songs
