Good point on the left turns. I still find I'm having the same frustration: Dive on a guy, fill the sight with airplane so that I can't miss 2 or 3 times in succession, doesn't take them out, even with balloon guns, they on the other hand seem perfectly capable of leaking/wounding you on the extension or zoom out to as much as 500 yards. It's almost like it's *easier* to hit the man, engine, or fuel at long range over short. So I'm considering setting my convergence fairly long and opening at ~200 and pulling off quicker, rather than my present strategy of close range snapshots.
