This is an example of why new media (aka RU-vid) can be great. Can’t believe I have access to conversation like this. Thank you.

Zelensky refused a ride out of town and asked for, “ammunition instead,” remaining to win, lose or draw with his fellow Ukrainians in Kyiv. Putin fled for St Petersburg, even though Wagner never even got to Moscow! And both times these leaders were facing hostile Russians! Now, history records that the biggest, most important city that the Wagnazis, “conquered,” was Rostov on Don! And Putin is powerless to DO ANYTHING about that? . . . I mean, WOW!

Just a comment on the pesenter. She just lets him speak, which is great. Too many want to be the protagonist and keep interrupting.

It's AMAZING that Prigozhin is still ALIVE.
@ashroskell
@ashroskell Год назад
Completely. How can Putin live this down? The world knows Prigozhin made Putin flee to St Petersburg, without even getting to the outskirts of Moscow! Putin must be foaming at the mouth, privately? Especially since everyone immediately compares the fleeing Putin to Zelensky who refused a ride from the Americans, of all people, and asked for ammunition instead! Every day Prigozhin walks free is a slap in the face to Putin and a reminder of his cowardice to the west.

You're wrong - we don't have march on Moscow in our history books, and it's not one of the proudest moments in Polish history. Maybe it's mentioned as a fun fact. I first heard about it, because Russians created a national holiday which referred it.

The so- called "Polish" occupation of Moscow in the early 1600s was, in fact , a private expedition funded by a group of aristocrats (magnates), the oligarchs of that time, from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . They used their own private mercenary groups. It was not an enterprise of the Polish state which refused to be involved.

The only reason why Prigozhin is still alive is because he has enabled Russia vis-a-vis Ukraine, Central African Republic, Mali etc.

Gazprom now has its own mercenary army and is taking over Wagner group role.

Wagner rebellion never hurt Putins approval ratings.

Scenario, you live in Russia, your phone rings at home and someone asks you if you approve of Putin. What's the sensible answer?
@ashroskell
@ashroskell Год назад
How can anyone possibly know that? Seriously? Who in the hell can get reliable figures and not get killed in the process? It’s certainly been a lesson for the west. Zelensky sees the Russians INSIDE Kyiv and refuses a ride from the Americans, asking for ammunition instead. Putin fled to St Petersburg, even though the Wagnazis didn’t even penetrate the borders of Moscow! One is a hero. One is a coward. And we all got to see which was which.
@WhichDoctor1
@WhichDoctor1 Год назад
his approval ratings among ordinary people dont matter. Ordinary people have no say in whether or not putin remains in power. What matters is if the powerful people he needs to support him still think he's more of an asset to them than a liability, and the powerful people he needs to fear him still think he's capable of having them killed if they step out of line. The moment he starts looking weak to either of those groups his days are numbered

NATO is so miserable about its failed offensive and its coming unconditional surrender that it is fantasising that some of the victors like the Wagner group are on its side. A certain Fuhrer also believed in the same kind of ecstatic fantasies in his final days as well.

So true. The delusion and wishful thinking of NATO and its media is being exposed. How did things get this bad? My thoughts are with the Ukrainian soldiers who are being forced to attack impregnable defences with no air or artillery cover. It’s the charge of the light brigade all over again.
