It's an absolute shame that this film did not win any awards that night. I was hoping this song would win, and that Lily would win. Congrats to the other winners, but this movie is the real winner in my book.
And the actual award goes to someone who’d already won, fairly recently as well. Which kind of sums up this movie’s reception at the Oscars in general.
@jordanfelix4416 you have to write music; it doesn't just appear magically. And this song has lyrics, you may not understand them but they're there in a language that predates English on the continent of America.
Probably because of the length. Everyone complained about the length. This might be a sign to bring intermissions back into movies. Ben Hur and Gone With the Wind were longer and won Oscars, but they also had intermissions
Why, exactly, is it necessary to crap on Billie and Ryan? If an Eilish fan did that to this performance you'd probably freak out and call them a racist, but it's totally different when YOU do it, right? You know, if you can't say anything nice... But that expression only applies to people with some class, smh.
They had it posted, but it must have been removed. The Oscars official page also removed Gosling and Eilish. Gosling's performance is officially posted from the record label, and Eilish's performance is officially posted by her.
The creator is the only one that we need to acknowledge us! You can keep your Oscar award and your Barbie movie, it means nothing to us! This was a powerful movie and there's no comparison to any other movie out there or the importance of the The truth that needed to be told!
I'm from south america, watching this at work without permission, and my eyes watered. This is beautiful, and I didn't even hear about this anywhere until today
I didn't know that the soul could also feel goosebumps! How much strength and honor we can feel hearing this! Thank you Osage Nation! Thank you Medicine Mann for sharing!
Lily Gladstone reminded us all what REALLY mattered after the Oscars upset - that the Osage's stories are finally being listened to by non-Indigenous people.
Brando's refusal of his Oscar through Sacheen made a bold statement about Native American mistreatment. Brando prioritized social justice over his acting career, feeling that the world's problems deserved more attention.
@@cruxdeluxx not in 2024, john wayne was a coward always played the hard guy but was just a rotten alcoholic. In 2024 he would be used as a hi hat drum by the natives live on stage lol
I regularly look at this alongside Marlon Brando's refusal to accept an Oscar, due to Hollywood's treatment of Native Americans. A bit of progress has been made over the past 50 years.

I didn't and don't watch the Oscars anymore. I don't need to see who's dress the actresses wear, who they showed up with, who got punched in the face...probably not the Oscars where that happened, but it proves my point...who cares? This, one single event, I would have watched, makes me sad I missed that moment. You can feel the pain and suffering in the song, and it stands on its own honesty, raw pain, anger and sorrow. The sad thing is they still making money off the Osage Tribe with this movie. Only thing better in my mind would have been to take the drum and walk off the stage without acknowledging the crowd.

As someone who has Cherokee and Lumbee ancestry in my family, this was empowering to watch! "Killers of the Flower Moon" was an incredible movie. It's heartbreaking but necessary and hearing music like this really knows how to emotionally invoke you.
Thank you so much for uploading this, I have tears in my eyes after watching and hearing the ferocity and power of this performance. I'm in england, and all the other uploads on youtube aren't available to watch in this region.
I am from Athens Greece when I was a little one and we watched western movies I was always with the native Indianos ,without knowing anything about ,I was always in the good side …love the movie love this song ,it’s epic, in my opinion was the best movie of the year ♥️🇬🇷
Seeing this on tv and then again just now made me cry happy tears! Finally getting a voice on a bigger, wider (widder?) stage. In front of the bigger people we see more often than not. Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! 😍❤
Asian hereeee and seeing this performance… wow…. my eyes are teary….🥹 what an amazing performance, what a group of people, what a nation🤍 They are always there and they need more respect🤍 I will never forget this year’s Oscar.
Beautiful video❤❤❤❤,My mom was an indegines from Bluefields Nicaragua, And she was missed treated back home,She was from the ramaqui tribe's, Similar to the Nabajo Indians
You'd think a Indigenous peoole song performance would be covered more by the media. But nope. I had no idea this happened; saw more about I'm Just Ken. No hate to Ryan Gosling but he's been invited to more Oscars than them.
Thanks for uploading this amazing performance. They truly deserve more recognition. I was looking all over youtube for someone to post it but only find Ryan's & Billie's performance.
