Sat on the seafront, the Waikiki Beach Bar and Restaurant is in a prime place for those walking the promenade to stop for a drink or a bite to eat. We decided to pay it a visit. Was it worth stopping at?

A little known fact about me...I was born in Honolulu and spent the first few years of my life, and many summers as I got older, with my grandmother on Waikiki Beach...and believe me, you cannot find those prices on the real Waikiki Beach! Looks like a great place and sounds delish Andrew! Hope you are having a great weekend!

Born in Hawaii, why did you move, Paul! The restaurant was pretty good value, given its location. The service was terribly slow though, one of the reasons we didn't give it a higher score. Thanks for watching and enjoy your Sunday.

Thanks, folks. Yes, it was nice sitting out in the sunshine looking across the beach to the sea. The slow service meant we had plenty of time to appreciate it 😀

Thanks for watching Anita. Yes, the food was good and reasonably priced. Service wasn't great. We'd nearly finished our drinks when the food arrived so we asked for two more but they never arrived. I'd like to say they were short staffed, but the waiters were often talking to friends, etc. It cost them a few marks on our score at the end of the video. I hope you're enjoying NZ.

I hope your head isn't too sore this morning, Keith. I was a pretty good snack bar, but you'd be waiting ages for your food, we thought it might have been a one-off, but read the trip advisor reviews later. Service, it seems, is very slooooow! Thanks for watching.

Cheers, Adzey. Getting served was the hard part here, so another drink whilst we ate didn't happen. We're home now sadly, the warmth and those sea views are just a memory now 😢.

Food looked great but could have done with a few more chips. Certainly can't beat the weather whilst eating the grub tho 🙂

I didn't think the portion size was too bad for the price, certainly given the beachfront location. It was noticeable how much cheaper it was at cafes in the old town compared to the beach. Thanks for watching Paul.
