Dude I genuinely remembered this show BECAUSE of the art style, it just grabs you and make you want to watch it

This and Tron Uprising truly needs a season 2. They were both so good

Both Motorcity and Tron Uprising were one of the best well animated show Disney ever had and they cancelled them That’s like finding the biggest gold mine in history, only for your boss to say nah we don’t need it. Disney did both this show and Tron Uprising extremely bad

I regocgized both the "Gorilaz" art style and "Megas XLR" energy and similarities in characters right away I never saw this show or knew it existed. This man has had the worst luck with companies. I t would be amazing to see what he could create if he was given back the rights to all his projects A cross-over between Motorcity and Megas would have been really cool to see too Now I need to find me a way to see these episodes! Thanks for showing us this gem from the past

original shows like this rarely get the love and respect they deserve

First time hearing about this, the show seems to be brimming with style and looks like it would have fit better on Adult Swim rather than Disney

Something that really contributes to the Duke's rockstar style is he's voiced by Dee Snider, lead singer of Twisted Sister.

A show that deserves a season 2 and streaming on Disney+.

The trifecta of amazingly animated modern action cartoons cancelled after one season: -Motorcity -Sym-Bionic Titan -and Glitch Techs (first season was split into two) Truly a trifecta that deserved more

Seriously how can something like this get cancelled so early. It’s like if MadMax and Hot Wheels had a baby.

the fandom when motorcity came out was so devoted. i was a part of the tumblr scene and so many of us contributed as many fan creations we could, art, crafts, anything we could gather and sent it in a giant package to titmouse. the fandom was one of the best i’ve ever participated in and i miss it and the show dearly and if we were ever blessed with more i’d be so happy. i even have a promo poster of the show that’s signed by some of the staff and it’s one of my most cherished items.

Yeah, when I found out that the creator of Megas XLR (my favorite cartoon back in the day) had another show created, I did seek it out and gave it a watch, and man it was such a blast to watch and such a pain that the creator can't catch a break with these networks.

Given what you said about Megas lacking any sort of toys, I still feel that way about Motorcity. It’s about CARS, all visually distinct. Complete with vibrant and unique locations. Confusing considering Disney’s biggest toy moneymaker is about CARS.

You have no idea what a heartbreak I got when I learned this only had one measely season despite everything this show has going for it. The animation, the premise, the characters, the voice talent, all of it. All the potential in the world, wasted. Good on Chris and Titmouse on bringing this show to life. This and Megas XLR will always be near and dear to me.

This along with Tron Legacy was some of my favourite shows from Disney

One of my favorite shows growing up, I remember watching it again sometime this year and it still holds up very well even after all these years.

This art style is so unique I’m almost 100 percent sure that whoever made this went on to work on love death robots. Theirs two episodes in particular. Zima blue and the Ive whales episodes have the exact same art style. Nice.

Never heard about this show and i'm furious at myself that I've never even knew that this was a thing. It really looks fantastic it shows that shows made in Flash can look fantastic. Aaaand of course Disney wouldn't promote the freaking show and just throw any time slot and see whatever sticks, classic. And yes it sucks how Chris suffered this type of BS not once or twice but thrice...poor guy. I really need to give this a watch someday because it really looks like a show that i would enjoy a ton. I really wish this show had another season. There are very few car-based cartoons that capture your attention with their style alone. But this one had a great world behind it and some fun characters to boot.

This show, Scooby Doo mystery incorporated, and Symbiotic Titan always made me upset that they didnt get more episodes. This was one of the best shows from Disney XD.

I'm actually mad that I missed this one. Partially cause it deserves recognition. Partially because Chris's work is amazing. Partially because it was made in freaking flash. And if I'm being frank, I'm seeing some top tier "teen crush you won't let go of even into your amateur art career". Think of all the fan art we've missed.

Finally. I been waiting for a larger channel to cover this. Hopefully, if more people talk about it, and get more people aware, maybe we can get a season 2. Titmouse had so much planned for this and this show has so much potential.

As a gear head and fledgling mechanic I loved this show cars each being a reference to popular cars niches like Hot Rod/Ratfink style, 1960-70s muscle cars, import tuners, and 1970-80s American luxury Land Yatch and monster trucks/ rally trucks

Motorcity was a awesome cartoon with good written characters, kicking soundtrack, great voice cast, creativity episodes and best of all this was all done in flash at the best looking one I've ever seen with a bit of 3d animation for the cars so stylish and smooth the action scenes where heart pounding truly this show was one of a kind I'm sad it never got a 2nd season but I will never forget Motorcity

I adore this show, my favorite part (besides the amazing art style) was the sound design. I loved that they would use dog barks/growls for Mutt's various sounds, and the music was of course amazing! (as expected from a prynoski project)

This and Megas just hold a special place in my childhood. The ideas were ahead of their time with the hybrid mix of action/sci-fi genre they went for. Great storytelling with phenomenal characters to relate to.

As a certified toy car collector since 2009 (Hot wheels, Matchbox, etc.), I would have definitely loved this show if I ever seen it

I genuinely didn't even know this show EXISTED and here I am hearing it was great, the artstyle looked incredible and the characters are just my style! What the heck, Disney?! Why not?!

I REALLY loved this show as a kid! While I don’t remember a lot of the episodes the one I vividly remember was the Zombie Halloween special haha.

I vividly remember starting this show strictly because how absolutely *HARD* the intro went.

Motorcity is literally one of the best shows to ever air on disney xd It's so visually and stylistically sharp. I love the characters and the story. Everything is so well done. And the acting in the show is great

I still think this is one of the best looking shows ever, and the car designs were so cool it boggles the mind they didn't get a chance to have toys. All I want is a scale model of Mutt.

We NEED it back. I've never seen it when I was a kid, but now, I want to watch it fully and really want it to comeback. AMAZING artstyle! And the cars....dude...those were some sick rides!

I’ve never seen this, but looks like something that would right up my alley. Reminds me of watching Highway 35 and Acceleracers, which no one really covers and has only just gotten some of the attention it deserves by some cars being included in Hot Wheels: Unleashed and the Deora II being a main car in FH5’s Hot Wheels DLC.

I think my favorite piece of Trivia from Motorcity is that the main theme was composed by none other than Brendon Small! Such a distinct and iconic tone with his guitars, and this was arguably at the height of his popularity with Dethklok. I hope one day that the full theme can get released. At least we have Galaktikon I & II, and the new Metalocalypse movie coming still!

I never even knew this show existed! wow, I mean I really didn't watch a whole lot of Disney's channel lineup after a certain age, but I was (and am) obsessed with cars and collected everything Hot Wheels... this show would have sat nicely alongside Hot Wheels World Race or Acceleracers...if i knew about it back then i would have totally loved it. Those cars look so cool and a good plot narrative and likeable characters makes it even better.

Man i loved this show, it pops up in my head every once in a while and i think how i wish it went on more, the voice cast was really good and i always loved the animation style and thought the green power staff thing was really cool

I totally wanted the show to have some resolution to things like Julie’s crush on Mike, and even red to understand how much of a hypocritical moron he was being by blaming the wrong person and working with the direct cause of him losing his home.

Man what an amazing and unique artstyle, definitely reminds me of Redline in terms of unique artstyle and setting. Definitely needs more recognition

Wow, I’ve heard of this series but never knew it was made by the guy of Megas XLR. This poor man just can’t catch a break on making a series that reaches its own ending.

I saw this show literally 10 years ago, it is the most unique show I ever watched 🔥

Motorcity reminds me a lot of Hotwheels Battle Force 5. The art style and themes are very different, but they both are action racing shows with a surprising amount of genuinely interesting world building despite the targeted audience. I would love to see Hotwheels BF5 on this channel as it hasn't exactly finished its entire story. It finished it's first major story ark with a satisfying ending, but left a teaser for the next one. Development had already started for the next major story ark, infact you can find the first one or two episodes of it. Unfortunately It just kinda vanished without any announcements that I know of.

Damn, Prynoski CANNOT catch a break in this industry! The worst part is that he and Titmouse can't even get his own creations back thanks to corporations and copyright laws. Here's to hoping he can get his IPs Downtown, Megas XLR, and Motorcity.

I'll always love the Bromance between Mike and Chuck. No matter how crazy the Plan Chuck was there for Mike and no matter what Mike was always there for Mike like when he had a problem with his Larping Group.

I remember thinking the art style was so unique as a kid

YES!! I’m so glad you’re talking about this. Motorcity has always been one of my favorite shows, I even own all of it on AppleTV and watch it from time to time (along with Generator Rex). If this ever came back one day, I know I wouldn’t complain.

I really love your channel for reminding me of shows I liked as a kid. I remember seeing and liking Motorcity but couldn't remember much else. I should definitely revisit it

I still remember the episode of this show that completely sold me on it. It was the zombie episode, and to see this show not only give full on episodes of time to other main characters beyond the leader as well as pull off a really good genre episode (and mix in the amazing style) I wanted to see more of it. Then I never did, and was always curious why it never showed back up again. Glad to see it’s left of solid mark, and will definitely need to watch/rewatch this show

this show was totally a treat for me as a car person because we rarely get any car related action cartoons anymore (even if done there were primarily just toy commercials) i really liked the artstyle and the whole rebellion against dystopian society plot but primarily i kind of was in for cars at first, especially mike's car which is a mix of hotwheels twin mill but with a muscle car style design.

with as often as this has happened, it feels like someone 'upstairs' has a vendetta against chris.

The only thing that ever made me proud of where I lived.

I always wondered what the relationship might be between this show and Redline. Their artstyles are very similar, but I forget which came first; if Redline did, it may well have inspired this.

It's kinda funny that the big corporation guy banned private transportation in order to assert control when in reality that's exactly the opposite of what real life corporations do to assert control, promote private over public transportation making less space as roads are massive + making it harder & more expensive to travel as you have to learn to drive, pay for gas and car insurance etc.

i totally forgot about this show until now, it was a favorite of mine growing up and catching all the reruns until they stopped showing it was a treat back then. Man i miss it and it’s a shame nothing more ever came of it.

I want the series back, but we've all been asking for it for many years, I don't see that it can come back, especially since they cut Disney XD, but it's not bad to hope, I always hope that they can put it back on another channel on TV
