We actually won, sounds SHITTY to say, but the whole sif2 being rushed, being inferior and actually having a low developer in charge for this was pretty much a "Its love live, everyone is gonna eat our shit no matter what" move, I feel bad for the people that invested time and money in here, because they were actually still having hope and to s certain degree, me too, but yeah, if they don't plan to make a proper rythm love live game, then just don't, they did it because of the money and nothing else, so we lost sif and sifas but we won with sif2 being closed.

I really expected more from this game tbh. I can get why SIF did so well bc it was a pretty good rhythm game for its time, but I honestly expected there to be more features in SIF2. Considering how SIFAS marked the beginning of 3D MVs and outfits in the love live SIF franchise but wasn't heavily rhythm based, I wanted bushiroad to incorporate the rhythm part of SIF and the 3D MVs and outfits from SIFAS into SIF2. But as it turns out, it's just like the original SIF but with just a tad bit more features. You can even see how much more love they pour into Link! Like! bc of the art. I was really disappointed to see how slow SIF2 took to add new songs to the game, how weird some cards looked and how much fanservice some cards includes (not surprised tbh). And while I wouldn't expect bushiroad to make a 3D MV for each song considering how there's 500+ songs in the game, I would at least hope they would bring the feature to some songs and slowly start adding some, just like they did with SIFAS. I just hope that if Love Live gets another game, it is way better than what SIF2 turned out to be. It's also really funny how the game was so hyped up before its release only for it to turn out like.. that. 🫠🫠

The game didn't even became a year old and suddenly they shut it down it for no reason at all! If they keep shutting down the Love Live games, then they shouldn't even go into production... It's not fair for the animators who do their best to make the animation as fancy as possible! They are the ones who give their whole heart and soul!

You know what would be nice? If they brought back All Stars. Like, start the game up again with everyone's accounts still in tact, or smth like that. All Stars was the best Love Live game I've played, and there's a hole in my heart where it used to be. If they're going to be shutting down SIF 2, why not bring back All Stars? (I know that's probably a lot harder said than done, and I shouldn't say these things so lightly, but I feel like the best way to go about things if they're going to continue with mobile games is to bring back All Stars because of how popular it was, and the fact that it could have kept going for much longer than it did (though that's just speculation on my part, there could have been problems we didn't know about that forced them to shut it down)).

It was SIFAS that got me into the LL Series and made me fall in love with the nijigasaki group. Why did they have to take it away for a game that didnt even last a year? I just wanted Yu to meet Saint Snow man....

now the only love live games in the app store that aren't confirmed to shut down are Tokimeki run runs and Hasunosora. The former will probably shut down sooner rather than later (it's also from Bushiroad), and the latter is basically a youtube live streaming app with gacha feature.

Bye bye love live games😢 Edit: since as f2p player who played sif for 8 years, my collection are massive and I know, the level I had in there could never be replicated/rebuild in sif2 no matter how hard I try so yeah, I gave up and just move on to other gacha to collect their stuff instead of love live-- although I still regard Kotori as my wife for eternity, I just wanna experience games that are better in terms of gacha and collection ig? 😂

The funniest part to me is that they didn't even wait to see how it did in the international market before closing. I was surprised to see how many views the pre-registration announcement had on Twitter/X. It would have been funny if it had been more profitable than JP. I guess I'll go play Wai-Wai party from time to time on PS4 with what few songs I could afford but I'm not likely to buy the next Yoshiko game on Switch. I like music in my music themed franchises. Maybe I'll go to Palworld now; try something different. Edit: I forgot to mention how sick it is to potentially take money from people who might download it on the App Store(potentially Google) without knowing that it's closing. What if they don't read any of the languages or skip through everything? Or what if desperate fans foolishly choose to show support for the franchise? It all seems really sleazy and horrible.

Good thing I did not even bother with the JP version. Its just so substandard compared the the last two games. Keep Bushiroad away from any potential Love Live mobile projects from this point moving forward. I am certain a new mobile game is in development because now is the right time to make a new crossover game rhythm with good MVs. Just avoid the pretty predatory gameplay loop of SIFAS.

Maybe they developed most of global already, but isn’t running new server just adding to costs? This game was a disaster. I didn't really have any complaints about the game itself, I was always a very casual player of SIF, and that carried onto SIF 2. I liked playing the game on occasion, playing some songs, maybe scouting, and then leaving. But I'd come back to say hello to my idols and play a couple more songs. This carried onto SIF 2. The issues everyone else had with SIF 2 were accurate, even if I didn't personally complain myself. But the fact that this game didn't even last a year AND they are releasing the global version only to kill it months later is an absolute joke. Something is clearly not working at Bushiroad or whatever, because they can't seem to save a game, or three, and are failing in the profits department... Just put SIF and All-stars (or equivalent) on PC, and maybe have a different company on board, because I'm losing hope for the mobile games, since they are showing us fail after fail.

I'm honestly not shocked that sif2 is dead. The game was rushed and clearly not ready for release and there's honestly no point releasing the WW version if the game is just going to shut down in a few months....I'm just sad because love live is the main thing for us lovelivers (and our channels) so i'm just struggling on what content to make now (i think all of us love live youtubers are on the same page). Maybe something better will come in the future but I don't have any high hopes....

I didn't anticipate it; I was living under a rock. I typically immersed myself in gaming and neglected real-world news. It's disheartening to learn about this. Love Live! School Idol Festival (SIF) was the only gacha rhythm game I embraced in 2017, and it became a part of my history. If SIF2 is truly facing an imminent end, I'm uncertain about what could fill that Love Live rhythm game void. :(

This is honestly baffling. Why bother launching the game globally if you're only going to keep it up for 3 months? How are they going to make money if there's going to be no In App-Purchases? Will it be through ads? I could understand killing off SIF since it was around for 10 years, but killing off All-Stars for a game that is clearly inferior and then announcing that it's going to be shutdown in just a couple of months is a really poor decision. Update: There are in-app purchases, though hopefully people will be smart, and not give money to what is essentially a dying gacha.

I've never played all SIFAS games, but I was shocked when i found out the news that even SIFAS 2 is dying. I feel sorry for the developers and can't even imagine what they're going through. This company shouldn't be making games... At the age of 14, I played LLSIF1, and I have good memories of this game, even though I never received a UR card. This game introduced me to the anime Love Live, and I have a new favorite character Yazawa Nico. I was sad when I found out that they were closing this game, and when they announced a new part of the game similar to the one I played in my teenage years, I was very happy. I immediately played it when it came out in qooapp and I liked it, it gave me a sense of nostalgia and helped me immerse myself in my childhood. And now they are shutting down this game again... I can't tell you how disappointed I am and how sad it is. They just shouldn't make games if every one of their games is closed.

It wasn't even released globally at all... Honestly, if I was one of the developers, I would rather have kept going with SIF and SIFAS instead of letting SIF2 be a huge overall disappointment. And this is why I moved on to IDOLY PRIDE.
