At nearly 50, I can say this is part of the problem: most of us over 40 get and understand the message, while the younger generations (the ones who need to learn from it) only see this in black and white; they don't get how profound this song really is.

I still don't understand how seeing people as individuals and not identity groups is a bad thing. There are signs that Gen Z, is significantly more conservative than millennials. I remember the slippery slope argument and it's "fallacy", it's time to look around.

I lost four ancestors in the civil war fighting for freedom. I fought for that same freedom and you all owe me nothing. I serve my God and my country. Who is pissed about the past? Nobody alive today has experienced what people did two hundred years ago. They are still enslaved in their own lifestyles and bad choices. It would be great if the black people would stop thinning their own population by fighting within their own race. Nobody has the right to hate people today for what mankind did two centuries ago. The first amendment allows people to say what ever they want. Be pissed about things centuries old if you choose. That's your own internal battle. Don't pass your anxieties about the past down or it will never go away. Concentrate on the present day slavery and child trafficking. Those are the people we should hate.

I love your reactions ❤ Also,I like how Tom starts the song talking more about himself and white stereotypes and not really trying to convey a deeper message than that. Adam follows by talking more about individuals and his personal experiences and conveys more of a message to the listener. Finally, Dax comes in and I feel like he's speaking directly to the listener wanting to get his message across to all of us. I don't know if this song structure was intentional but the message buildup really adds to how powerful the song is. The humor is a definite bonus, including those awesome outfits 😂

Loved the song… each took stereotype and broke it down not only to be entertaining and get you moving but with a message and Dax brought the entire message home!!!! BTW, Tom and Nova did a video with DAX and I guess Tom accidentally drove it into a wall and broke off one of the front lights and said it cost to be $1800 to repair it! Nova deserves crazy credit for this entire video concept it was brilliant!

Tom speaks about ghetto people. It’s not about skin color, it’s about where you were born and how you were raised. Nothing you control. Adam speaks about more of the middle class upbringing and again, it’s not about skin color. We can all relate no matter what color your skin is, it’s about life choices. Then Dax has the important job of bringing it all together as the last to spit. Dax speaks about the politics and philosophical issues in front of us. Bringing attention to the fact that politicians, media, PR campaigns and red vs blue tribalism are separating us on purpose and that we have agency in how we live. We just have to use it and think for ourselves. It’s wrong vs right and we must make the choice to live our lives right. Again, skin color has nothing to do with it. Beautiful song. Rap is fundamentally aggressive in its delivery but the message is there. 🙂✌️
