I marvel that some of you guys can go days with a system stuck to your head. It reminds me of the 70's when we were using hair weaves and having the system attached for weeks. What a mess when the system was removed! Anyway, I have really oily scalp and so I avoid poly-skin systems and opt for lace. An added benefit of lace vs. skin is that you can correct any factory screwups in color and/or add mild highlighted color or grey to areas they did not. This adds realism to the system. Of course you must learn to ventilate, something I learned to do long ago out of frustration having systems delivered to me not in accordance with my instructions.

I'm a woman in the UK and I just discovered you. Because of alopecia, for the last 15 years I have worn a hair unit. The confidence it gives is simply awesome. Then I fell in love with an American man ! How would I tell him? But you know what, after a couple of weeks of him giggling, I gave him the death stare! He then knew I was serious how much my glued hair was important to me. . And he fell in love. We are now engaged. Me, him and the third party -- my wig 💕

I never have a fully exposed hairline because I prioritize simplicity and durability over appearance. This is why I stopped buying lace and thin-skin and started getting mono with PU perimeter. Not only is it MUCH easier to clean, but they last significantly longer. And if you style your hair the right way, you can get away with a partially exposed hairline. Some say it's a downgrade, because mono is brittle, but personally I don't feel any discernable difference between the mono and the lace on my scalp.
@thehighlevelman

To not expose the hairline absolutely makes it much easier for sure. Glad that works for ya!

Great content, Rick! I was kinda down, then I watched your video ant suddenly felt better, I guess positivity is contagious :) I am currently gathering info on the hair systems (there's so much to learn!) and I must say your hairline absolutely rocks, Sir! I've seen your other video about cutting the front of the system right at the edge of the hairline, but I don't know, maybe yours has something to do with the manufacturer, color or with density, because I've seen other content creators I mean like Jake Kent or Michael Joseph and it seems there's just too much hair there, so there's a big contrast and the hairline stands out and I can't help it but notice it. I am also thinking to go with lower density at first, then maybe order a bit higher density on the other units. Also, thank you for your video content, I love it!
@thehighlevelman
@thehighlevelman 8 месяцев назад
Thanks for the comment buddy. So glad you felt better. You are right on all counts. If the hair is too dense at the front all you can see is a wall of hair. Dead giveaway I think. I like a denser unit but not a dense front hairline. Thanks Superhairpieces. I would absolutely advise a less density unit. I wear Hd111 but I believe the m111 is less dense. I need to check and confirm that. You can do it bro and I’m here if you have questions…..peace to ya!

@@thehighlevelman - thank you, Rick! Based on your experience as a professional hair stylist: how hard for a professional is to start working on the hair systems from a scratch if they only cut natural hair before? What do they need to know before starting? I've seen they are often using razors instead of scissors in to control hair density, but the rest is wizardry for me :) Now, my profession is unrelated to beauty industry (unless buildings count), but the thing is - nearest hair clubs are just too far away. In another countries, actually, as I'm from Europe. So I'm thinking to convince my barber to start this journey together and maybe it'll grow to a business one day.
@thehighlevelman
@thehighlevelman 8 месяцев назад
@@mantasbabenskas2761 Going from only cutting natural hair to hair systems can be tricky. You can’t just pick up the hair and start cutting the sides of it as you normally would. It will not blend at all. That is why you see a razor being used for the sides. I have done it with shears before and you have to slide cut and point cut a lot and very carefully. The sides of the system have to be a bit disconnected and also very thinned out all around. Then you can shear cut the top to blend. The most crucial area in the temples. Peace bro!

Howdy neighbor, fellow Texan here. I’m three systems (HD111) in under a month because I can’t seem to cut the front hairline clean enough. First one I didn’t cut enough so you can see the shine from the plastic. Next I think I cut too close because it seem kind of thick and it casts a tiny shadow making it pretty obvious. Will you please do a hairline trimming video. Thanks and keep being awesome.

My man, you're the best, you inspired me to take this journey. I'm on my 2nd piece and I was way too careful with the front hairline and I have excess. I no longer have the plastic mold to put it on to cut the excess. Do you have any tips or tricks for me? I have a little bit of room if I need to go into the hairline. Lemme know hair brother. Disclaimer: I've already worn it, it's cut to size and cut in.

Hey bro! Good to hear from ya. So what I think you’re asking is “How can I cut more of the skin off of the front hairline?” Is that correct ? Yeah, I’m sure I gotcha. Soooo, what I do is when it’s off my head (it might hurt to do it while it’s attached 😳) I turn it skin side up, push the hair back underneath the unit and make the hairline edge stick out a bit. Using sharp scissors, cut away more of the skin. Dang, that was a hard picture to,paint with words. If it was confusing ask me specifics again. Peace, Have a good one

Hey Rick… just looking over a few of your past videos. Think you look especially good with this unit. Do you happen to remember the grey percentage? And I’m assuming the grey is synthetic as you’ve mentioned in other videos that synthetic is your preference. Looking sharp my friend! Brad in Sherman

Hey Brad… The unit in this video is I believe 60% grey with darkest brown base. I really like it that grey but it is impossible to blend with my bio. In this vid it’s very disconnected in the haircut and it’s a look I like but at the back…… I don’t like it because it goes from 60% system hair to 20 % bio hair. This you see the problem for me. Can’t blend. Peace man!

Hey Rick I'm curious what the percentage of gray hair you have on your system in this video and whether it's a light density system? Thanks. P.S. that gray percentage (whatever it is) is spot on.
@thehighlevelman

This unit is dark brown, 60% grey. Superhairpieces hd111. It is not the lightest density. I liked a bit more hair but it is still not thick.

thanks for the content. I am getting my system in a few weeks and pretty nervous about styling and day-to-day maintenance. I haven't had hair for over 25 years and I don't even remember how to brush or comb it. any tips on choosing a style and how to brush it. what's your night routine. do you wear a doo rag or anything when you sleep to avoid wear and tear and bed head? thanks!
@thehighlevelman
@thehighlevelman 10 месяцев назад
Hey man, thanks. Hope it all goes well. I’d have to see ya to give styling tips but many time, after the cut in you can experiment with different things. I don’t wear a do rag and always have bed head…..bad, lol. I wash it everyday though so no big deal. My routine is actually nothing. I’m pretend it’s my real hair and just blow and go. I remove and re-attach about every 7 - 10 days. Takes less than ten min if you have a second unit ready to go, otherwise there is the clean up time of the unit. Do NOT get discouraged if not doesn’t go perfect the first time. There was a learning curve for me but I figured it out through my mistakes. You can reach out anytime! Peace and good luck- Rick

@@thehighlevelman thanks rick. your hair looks amazing, which is why I put your hair on my head to show my hair system stylist. for now, I will let them take care of it for me, but I am going on a vacation 3 days after I get it, so I need to make sure I have an emergency kit and everything I need to keep it looking great AS I LEARN how to use it too. he is encouraging me to keep is shorter at first, until I get used to it, but I really love the way you have it so we are going to shoot for that, and can always cut it closer if I can't handle it initially. thanks again!

Can I ask how this works. Do you have to buy the hair system and then take it to a salon for them to do the first application or do the salons have the hair systems? How easy is it to apply yourself and how often does it need to be re-applied?
@thehighlevelman
@thehighlevelman 10 месяцев назад
Hi! The short answer would be… 1. Buy the hair system, I love Superhairpieces’s for lots of reasons. 2. I’m a barber so I cut it myself but you would need to go to a salon that has experience in “cutting in” an hair system. 3. The system base has to be cut to fit your balding area. 4. Remove and re-attach varies. I do it once a week, ten minutes max. I have instructional videos on my channel and on Superhairpieces website that will really help. Also there is a discount code on my channel. Good luck man. I’ll help anyway I can!
