Waitangi Day here was full of the usual drama but even more so this year, since this new Government was voted in last November... the Three-headed Taniwha; the Three Amigos, to quote two nicknames so far. We will see some sweeping changes this year and already families are suffering from the high cost of esp. food, blamed on Labour. People got fed up with the last Government and many Labour electorate strongholds fell to National, esp. in Auckland. And a growing number of silent majority Maori and Pakeha voted Nats, ACT, and NZ First, which has resulted in the formation of a coalition government. Maori, from the King down, are up in arms over the Treaty, with the ACT leader, David Seymour, strongly pushing for a debate in Parliament over the Treaty ''principles'' urging for greater equality in our democracy for ALL New Zealanders. The Maori Party of course, is being very vocal. Man, it's all fireworks here. It's going to be an interesting year nay, three years. Mm, cheers!
