@@DickWhistles I should have set up an old-school washing mangle in the car park to dry people's gloves out with! Took some staggering pictures of the water under Fingles Bridge, and the pub garden furniture disappearing under water. To cap it all...we were in the middle of a 12-month hosepipe ban in Devon and Cornwall because of 'the drought'! Are you doing the Edinburgh Trial this year?

Crazy. I am hoping to if I can get a vehicle sorted. Blew the clutch on our new trials car at Land’s End this year and the bike is in bits in the shed… It remains to be seen. Are you marshalling again?

@@DickWhistles Riding, hopefully. Did the 'daylight' Lands End, which was horribly curtailed due to the size of entry and the fact that a spectator gently slipped away from life watching one of the sections. Given the Edinburgh starts and ends at the same location, I'm very tempted to do the 'proper' all-nighter.

You should! I didn’t know about the death at Land’s End. We were knocked out in the night so didn’t experience a delay. Epic journey home.
