Hello Mr. Attorney im happy to communicate with you that i got a call from the DA office from my county telling me that the DA was not going to press any charges so besicaly the case was dismissed a month before going to jail 😱😱😱😱 You were right they didnt have time to waste on my case bc i guess they saw the report so a month before they just dropping the case. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me and giving me advice. I wish there was more like you here in california. I tried to get help when i knew my wife could get in big trouble. What i got was a bunch of unethical assholes feeding on my fear. You was honest and the little time u gave me it made a huge difference. In situations where alleged victim admits to being the aggressor and (let’s say) punches first, what is to stop the State from arresting them immediately, on the spot? Why wouldn’t they? The law doesn’t discriminate, right?
I said I didn't want to give a statement. The deputy said, if you don't write a statement, I will call DHS and have your son removed. Still didn't write statement. The officers report is NOT what happened. Who do I talk to?! IOWA

My case with my bf who was arrested in Texas has not contacted me but i think i see why now. I did get a brief note from somewhere that he is under strict judges orders even though the county attorney says he can contact me. So there's some misinformation but i now understand why he cannot get in touch with me. Thanks for clarifying this, this video really helped me as the alleged victim.
I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE ADVICE " NEVER CALL THE POLICE" YET LAST WEEK I CALLED THE POLICE ON MY SON FOR SCREAMING IN MY FACE AND PUSHING ME .HE IS AN AWESOME, RESPECTFUL 14 YEAR OLD, 95%OF TIME I JUST CALLED THE NONEMERGENCY NUMBER TO POLICE SO THEY COULD SPEAK WITH HIM,I TOLD POLICE I DIDN'T WANT TO PRESS CHARGES ON MY SON, I LOVE HIM , HE HAS NO CRIMINAL RECORD ONLY 14....DO I QUALIFY FOR THE WAIVER OF PROSECUTION AGAINST MY SON ? Justin Bird I did one of those background checks you can try 30 days free and saw my charges. I still get awesome jobs but it’s just the fact that these charges still show.
@@abrahamthibodeaux5905 I'm glad it hasn't affected you job wise. I work in Oil and Gas and they can be pretty strict on background checks. I'm hoping my case just gets thrown out. My ex lied and she knows it. If I catch this charge and lose my job she's successfully screwing herself out of more child support
Justin Bird yes, it’s a tricky situation. I was guilty before being proven innocent. I spent six days in a jail. It was dropped by the DA because of insufficient evidence. I went to an anger management class. Looking it back it helped me. I’m still married to my wife. We celebrate 15 years of marriage in February. These things can have an impact. I have my court mins as well and have to prove the charge was dismissed all the time.
@@abrahamthibodeaux5905 I started counseling for anger management. I figured I could definitely benefit even though it was a lie. I have no idea how it's going to go. Like you said brother, guilty before proven innocent.
I had this happen to me. I was arrested for agg assult. Yet I was the one assaulted. Yet I was the one who went to jail for 18 hours before I could make bail. My bf was very angry he is also an alcoholic with blackouts. He loses sometimes an entire day. I dismissed the argument because when he goes on binges. I go sleep in one of the other 3 bedrooms of the house. I could have called the Police yet as my entire family is or has been in Law Enforcement. My oldest Son is a Sergeant so I didn't ea t any embarrassing on his part or my part er who, is Retired LEO. His family got involved and without my knowledge pushed him knowing he was not in his correct frame of mind. Pushed him to place a Restraining order on me. Which was totally uncalled for. I'm the type of woman if I am not wanted. Fine I am glad to go my own way. So I blocked him from receiving any calls from him. I also was unaware of the restraining order. Yet his Sister who also worked as a CE. Was blowing up. MY cell phone. So I also blocked her. So then she started to call. My family members asking question and asking them to have. Me to call her. Since she knows. Nothing about our bills or where I keep our records. She knew that a order of No Contact was in place yet I had 55 calls from him blocked on. My cell. I could ha e had both of them arrested because of try g to co tact me. He did t even remember signing a no-contact order. Yet she did. I had enough evidence to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt. How he gets when he binge drinks. I had to bond myself out. Then he wanted to drop charges. Because he was not the one to call the Law it was a nosy. Neighbor who is a, so an alcoholic. That had the hotts for. my bf. I do not drink, take any recreational drugs. I have enough health concerns. I due speak my mind a d I did that day. Yet I did not due what I was charged with, He went and spoke to the D.A. He also tried to have them to arrest me when they arrived. Yet the Cop said no we were called. It doesn't matter even if you did. nt made the call someone is going to jail. So ce there were no Marks of any mind because I didn't tries to hurt him. They dismissed the charges. Yet I need to have the case sealed. It ma, es me look very bad. I am a very tiny petite female. I could not defend myself even if I was trd I as I am no match for a 5’8 grown. Man. It's really hurt our relationship. We are still trying to work it out. Yet it's been hard. Because until very recently he thought he was a nice person when he signed drinking. I started filming his actions as well as recording them to replay so he can see how disgusting he acts. He asked me to prove what I tell him about his behavior. I'm not perfect. I may speak harsh when I a. Attacked. Yet for the most part. I try really hard to avoid Drama. I dislike, being out of contIrol. This is a big reason why I do drink or due drugs. Because it changes who you are. I also find it sad they post your mug shot in the news Paper. Where you are accused of so etching.yet they don't post any kind of retraction when your not guilty. I have a question My wife got arrested for domestic violence I was drunk at the time i dobt remember what i told the police. I bail her out within a few hours She never hurt me at the time. She never got a restraining order she just got released and until the court date we are still living as normal bc we never have had a problem. Im scare that she will get in trouble bc of what i said to the police

@@sentineldrak8825 hi, I know this is years ago, but I have same issue like yours. Did your wife get served a no contact order after her court date? I am chardged with dv, my husband don't want chardges pressed, do far there isn't a no contact order, but I'm afraid after court maybe ut will happen?
Hell No I'm not letting this go He deserves to stay in jail for what he did to me I want reparations for what he did to me He messed up my jaw and teeth He did alot of messed up things to me physically emotionally and sexually So I don't think mine was an accident He knew what he was doing
