Yeah Kumoko at least had the heart to at least feed them and that instantly makes her 10 times better then her Spider Mom. But I can't really harp on the Spider Mom to much, I mean after 10 or maybe just 5 clutchs of spider eggs you probably stop caring about that.

Kumoko might want to spend some time raising her Communication Stat. On the spider side, Kumoko’s Communication Stat seems to be at level 1, while on the human side, it seems to be level 3 at best.

Well she was a socially awkward introvert back in her old life. It makes total sense that she has a vibrant imagination but not the confidence to actually talk to people

The Horo Neia take over for a few reasons, they go heavy on the training like kumoko, for exampling inflicting damage on themselves to get the relevant resistance skills (some die from this exercise). On top of that they are pack hunters and have usable poison magic from birth/hatching. However the Horo Neia actually are smaller than their relatives the Taratects, meaning they need significantly less food too. A fully grown Horo Neia is comparable to an Arch-taratect in strength but noticeably smaller than a great taratect.

@@DoomsdayR3sistance Well Kumoko's kids are all Zoa Ele and as I've said they won't eat each other since they have been fed properly. Their size of course means they don't need to eat as much and can go around the Labyrinth much easier. Fitting for Kumoko's small but powerful ideology. I already know that they travel in swarms with how they ganged up on Shun's team after they slew an Earth Dragon. The fact Kumoko's kids haunt the labyrinths now shows how most of them are still alive and are doing well.

@@VanishEclipse4867 The Horo Neia are a new species literally called Horo Neia. Kumoko was a Zana Horowa when she used the egg laying skill and the Horo Neia all are identical in looks to a Zana Horowa but just having differing sizes. The new borns are "Minimum Lesser Horo Neia".

That wasn't for exp. Real spiders eat their babies sometimes. The reason is simple. It is more efficient for the mother to eat some of her babies than it is for her to leave them undefended. Instead of abandoning them or pulling out food from a magic pocket, she diligently protects them from enemies... and then eats some of them to avoid starvation. Not all spiders eat their babies though. Some mother spiders will simply starve to death, or allow their own babies to eat THEM instead. Isn't nature just wonderful...

Kumoko: sucks at communication. Introverts: et tu, kumo? Also she finds a few ways around this. Books, alternate personality, hoping the person shes talking to is perceptive.

This anime and dark souls is really inspiring me to write fanfiction

Those little spiders are the Nightmares Of The Labyrinth so...that kind of happened i guess. They usually stick together and rule the Great Elroe Labyrinth while still remembering their mom who they refer to with religious fervor (or just trolly dramatics if their meeting with Shun was anything to go by).

Don't forget the "heal adventurers if not aggro'd upon, gank murderhobos if attacked" gimmick that Kumoko started.

A great story and voice actor can overcome bad animation... Watch Kaze no Yojimbo. A great mystery series that was animated at around 8 frames a second or so, everything was choppy but the story was great... It was based on a great US novel, the same one the Bruce Willis made into a movie were he played the main character..

This trait is quite rare in spider species though. Also did you know that depending on species a spider can lay between 10 and 3000 eggs per clutch and that how long a spider egg takes to hatch is based on external conditions? An egg can hatch as soon as a week after being laid if conditions are optimal but will generally take around four months.

Also why does this Shiro women have legs if she is the Spider, the Spiders last possible body change was changing to a human torso and spider body, there was no future change possible on her track(if she was on another track she could have become like mother etc.. But this is the end of the one she chose) They are three very important questions, that you can have answered if you read the books...

Well my point was that the tables have turned and the person who was least likely of doing anything is know a powerful being that none of characters are at a level of or struggled to reach or survive on a regular basis

if you remember previous episodes, her spider body wasn't that big, like barely reaching an adult's shins. but now as arachne her body needs to carry a human torso so it's increased in size dramatically

i have started to read the WB version after finishing the light novel, the wb is basically a different universe so i got much to read fortunately

and just because the first 18 episodes I decided to buy the first 4 volumes, this just made me think about getting the next 4 hahaha

They are a blast to read, can't recommend they enough. Light novels are paid but they are the "better" version, and it is the version the anime was adapting. The web novel is free but is much different than the light novel, like someone said, almost an alternative universe.

They had 8 extra days...

apparently the staff working on this were quite literally killing themselves because they had to work from the ground-up after the outsourced animation completely broke down… in other words, Halo 2 crunch but in an even shorter time-span…

Apparently, their outsourced studios screwed up and they had to redraw everything from scratch.

Since it already happened, I think it's not spoiler, but still... Regarding the topic, in WN she transformed to Arachne during the encounter w/ baby Julius aka Hero and Ronandt aka "middle aged man" (and yes, Ariel wasn't there). But some things can't be shown in anime I guess....

Unfortunately, the entire human story is put on hiatus after this. If we get a season 2, it will be spider-side only. We won't see Shun again until when the timelines merge, which won't happen until season 3 material!
