I saw some of them smoking cigarettes while taking showers, but to clean car stuff seems quite made up to be honest. The neighbour interaction however I can confirm 100%
I'm Indonesian and I don't understand how on earth I got this recommended to me but I've officially changed my mind - the germans are funny sometimes 😂
Most of my friends and I (craftsmen in Germany) have a different routine. The alarm clock rings at 04:45, get dressed, brush your teeth, drink coffee and at 05:15 we are on our way to work.
Bruh, why so early? If you're in a trade where you have to work with customers, like electrician or plumber, I wouldn't want to meet the first customer before 8am... or are you working in a factory with shifts?
Because it's nice to be back at home early and have the afternoon off lazying! Mornings are crisp and serene and one gets stuff done. Not only craftsmen, all kinds of employees too, government here in Berlin had to forbid its tax employees and others to clock in before 7, so now most still come in and clock in later.
@@jano1574 I used to have to communte for 2 hours in total everyday in my job as an industry electrician. So to be able to clock in at 6am (official start of the working time) I usually had to wake up at 04:30, get my morning routine done and have a small breakfast so that I could start driving before 5am to be there in time and work until 3pm. After driving home it was already 4pm in the afternoon. The advantage of it was that I only had to do this from Monday-Thursday and on Friday I would go home at noon and start my weekend at 1pm.
my mum and i used to ran a homestay bfore covid, 75% of our guests is German's, one i noticed that they almost always wore socks. Ah.. i miss having Germans in our house.. they are not as cold as winter, mostly like a sweet Summer ❤
@@holger_pI was wondering that same thing. The Germans must be visiting them in summer and wearing socks on their sandals or something. But I would like to hear the explanation too.
Wake up at 6 without any snooze ✅ Take a shower every morning ✅ Spazierengehen ✅ Leave the window open even in winter ✅ Only been living in Germany for 3.5 years. wurde eingedeutscht, bevor ich das überhaupt merkte. xD
After some time living in Germany, I now realize I have been Germanized... not with breakfast though, I come from a country that has three warm meals per day.
How do the other Germans start their day? Get up at 11:00, still having a hangover, lighting up a cigarette, than asking themselves: do I have to go the Arbeitsamt today? If the answer is yes - than drink a red bull and start to get ready for your appointment at 15:00. If the answer is no - than drink a beer, take a good breath from your bong and go back to sleep.
0:23 6:23 am, now you know why we are such a grumpy nation ☹ I would like to add that if you work in a bigger company and enter the company premises early in the morning, most people look down at their feet so as not to have to say "good morning" to the other employees.
Loved this! So the typical German male is rather like the typical Brit, apart from that breakfast. Raw pork! Oh no. But I would feel really at home in Germany.
@@moshyi I live in Massachusetts and almost never see any of my neighbors. I don't even know their names! I'm gone most of the time as they seem to be. When anyone sees each other, they often look away from each other so as not to talk. I've gotten into this habit too just to stick with the unwritten ground rules. I guess Germany can be like this too!
They said Breakfast is the most important thing and.. they eat bread sausages egg and cheeze 😂😂😂😂 … very interesting video learning different culture is always fun ❤
😂 I love how you are watching him from behind. But you have forget this items :reading the newspapers during breakfast (perhaps only the older ones), complaining about the weather every morning and being unfriendly to everyone (not only the neighbors) expect on Mondays. 😊
2:34 “The vast majority of Germans shower several times per week, if not everyday”… wait what? It is not normal to shower everyday?! I would not be able to stay a day without a shower 🫣
It's strange, but my neighbor always showers in the evening so he can sleep a little longer in the morning...regardless of the fact that he sweats at night and goes to work in the morning already sweaty. And I have heard THAT from many.
@@Roger-np3wi A lot of cultures prefer to shower in the evening. Clean body in a clean bed. Do you go sweaty in your bed? In the morning then a quick wash.
It's quite normal in rural areas such as villages in Germany as well. Nowadays, the children usually don't greet complete strangers passing by on the street anymore. But they'll probably freet neighbours they know. Otherwise, the entire village would talk about these unpolite children behind the backs of the family... The same is true for adults, of course.
We do greet each other (mostly, younger East Berliners never greet back), just mostly we never get to see one another.I remember as student in a Bavarian town I met a new neighbour living beside my room and told her she should tell me if I ever am loud. She smiled and remarked that I had told her the same thing a year ago 😂😂😂
@@kailarsNothing to see... Then why don't Germans shower every day in summer? I live in Germany and I know many germans who only take 2 baths a week in summer, despite the 32 degrees. I'm from Brazil and I live in Germany I shower every day, in winter it's no different.
0:30 Spain and Portugal are actually in the same timezone as the UK, so they should really be 1 hour behind European Central Time (ECT). Consequently, they're actually waking up at around her same time as the Germans.
If I got up at 6:22, I would be 22 minutes late for work. I'm usually awake 10 minutes after 5, dressed, cleaned, on the toilet and on the way to work by 5:25 at the latest. Changing at work doesn't take more than 5 minutes. Then another 10 - 15 minutes chilling in the lounge and then off we go.
Is this a report about an average German or an average German "male"? Why mention specific statistics about male behaviour 2 times in this video and not accompany it with the corresponding female statistics? I was waiting both these times thinking the speaker will get to the female stats but it never happened. And no, there isn't anything else I'd like to know more about Michael. Are the reported statistics about the "average German person" consistent between people of all genders?
Sausages seems like a strange translation for Aufschnitt, eventhough it's also called Wurst. But it's in the secular and the plural would be Wurstaufschnitt, so I would never call it sausages, but something like sliced sausage ham.
Germans are hard workers, punctual, ofcourse well suited to the cold climate, well knowledgeable and intelligent and good looking.... All of which resizes me in comparison😅
I am a denatured German, clearly. My alarm clock rings 2 hours later, the snooze button is worn, I wear impossibly uncomfortable attire, and engage in racous and frequent conversation with neighbours. But I do wash car parts in my shower - all is not lost.
Wow! Men now we know how many percentage of Germans prefer soft egg! This is incredibly valuable piece of knowledge to learn about a nation ! 😂 So funny 😅
After over 40 years here, never seen Mett _for breakfast._ I think we like to overdo that bit the way americans think that there are some 746 billion castles and 12 billion 288 million 467 thousand cuckoo clocks here too. There aren't. Also sounds like our presenter here stayed a little too long in the Frankfurt region..... ei, *Misshhah_el,* ...hier Bub isch glaubs net.
Germans for me are like a python program encoded with some daily tasks that must be done. The last scene of the neighbour hints to that. The program has greeted the neighbor once so there is no command for another greeting
Absolutely unique approach "...he'll have to refrain from this interaction". Between Japan and Germany I do not know who is the weirdest. Ge a life 🤣🤣😂😂😂😂!!!
Alot of asians guys and girls don't understand one thing, why do European or western women not wear bra's ?? Is it a movement or something to do with better health beliiefs?
Shower in the morning? No. a) I'd much rather feel clean before going to bed at night, so shower at night before turning in; b) there're other things to do when you wake up in the morning. The only time there might be a need to shower in the morning is as a wake-up, say, after a few whiskeys the night before. And strictly speaking no many whiskeys the night before, if the following morning you're off to work. And come on my good man, do say "morning" to your lovely lady neighbour. It costs nothing.
