Regine is a Philippine Designers Muse. As in literally designers/couturiers line up to her door just for her to wear thier creations regardless if they are established or newbies. That is why Regine is always expected to wear multiple customized couture pieces in all her shows. So imagine in a her one hour weekly show shes expected to change 4-5 times and take note its not off the rack,-ready to wear. Its customized couture for free. The good thing about it is she acknowledges who designed and provided her gown on air as a way to promote the designer, so clients flock them with orders. After wearing the pieces merely 10 mins or less per show, she donates those gowns to charity for auction and proceeds go to her chosen charities. Thats how generous she is. If there were a thousand designers lined up they most likely create a piece or 2 for the year for her to wear so not so bad for the business if they provide for her for free. Philippine live performance show concept is always as if, its a gala concert, thats why you will see performers wearing ball gowns and couture pieces even if its lunch time. Its a a catalyst of creativity and ingenuity. As what Pilita said in her interview with you guys, theres a lot of very good Philippine Designers and theres a market for the entertainment and pageantry industries (in case you have not seen Philippine made pageant gowns).

She is very much known to just sing barefoot and bekt, and you pretty much explained why -- because the heels are affecting her anchoring! Aside from the barefoot singing, she is also known through her singing on top of the piano, or sitting down the stairs on stage to provide an intimate performace with her audiences.

This is my favorite and the only segment of their Sunday noontime show that I watch. This a powerful segment with all the singing powerhouses gather like Regine, Jaya, Lani Misalucha, Ogie, Janno, at some point it also includes Jay R, Kyla and Jona.

She had recorded this song with this version on her R2K Album. Another information about her is that she was trained by her father on the sea. He made her sing and belt while submerged in the water- neck deep. That helped her develop her lung power and core. Thanks! Regine's staying power in the industry is not only because of her talent. It is more about her personality and attitude. She is truly a good person. She is very helpful to all artists. She don't compete to shine. Just like her friends, Jaya and Lanie. They support each other. I guess the Philippine music industry is so lucky that we have prime movers like them who build each other up instead of trying to outdo one another. They are the idols that new generations of artists are trying to emulate.
