Ironically, Nyoy, sang this after he and Nina had a controversial break up. He wrote this when they are still in a relationship and he let Nina sing it.

Hello there This song was written by Nyoy for Nina to sing commercially. They were good friends then. Although we have a hint to whom Nyoy wrote that song for. Actually it was Nina who was CONVINCING Nyoy then haha what an iRONY In the latter they became a couple after doing series of shows together They had a bitter break up because they needed to see each other in the court because of money issues. Nyoy was heartbroken and embarrassed that on National TV he expresses his disappointment.The host of the show asked Nyoy “If you have any message for Nina what would that be?” Nyoy said “MINAHAL KITA.” (I have loved you) After awhile, when the uproar of issue subsided. We met in one of his shows outside Manila. he gladly told me that he will be guesting on ASAP, I made a slight tease on him “Oh really? Andun siya... “ (Which means She’s there- referring to Nina) Nyoy answered “SO???” I was glad then I know he was trying to recover from the mess that he got into but I can tell from his hug that he was still in pain He was thankful for some few friends who stood by him during that time. The song was BRUTAL yes it is what happened between NYOY and NINA ended up BRUTALLY. Nyoy decided to record a version of this song as a part of his recovery As a supporter and a friend I was so broken for him We personally witness how the affair started, to be honest we were somewhat against it because we thought Nina was still with Jimmy Bondoc When Nyoy finally got married in real life I sent him a message Your SOMEDAY has finally come I’m so happy for you Congrats!

Nina and Nyoy were in a relationship before. They had a couple of shows and concerts together. He wrote this song for Nina to sing. So Nina released this in her album. It became a hit in Filipino movies. Eventually the two broke up. Given that he wrote it, he released his own version of the song.

Ohh. I'm heartbroken listening to this again. You are right W and E. There was a time I sang this for myself out of spite of a failed relationship, and I sang it in the key Nina sang it. This lower key by my beloved Nyoy V. is grounded, and painful to hear. If not for the hopefulness on the last few lines, I wouldn't stop crying. But yes, this song ends with a resolution and a decision to move on. Brilliant. How a key is sang really does change the emotion. Bloody Brilliant! This is why I love u guys!!? Nyoy Volante was fantastic as Lola in Kinky Boots. I watched him headlined the Manila production of Kinky Boots in 2017. His performance was super magical. Nyoy also joined Lea Salonga in the Sweeney Todd production in Singapore.

We don't have Divorce in the Philippines but we have annulment procedures that can take a very long time to process.

Kyla and Nina had been “rivals”, were pitted against each other in early 2000’s and they even did a combined concert called “Cold War”. Years later, Kyla sang “Someday” on ASAP. Actually even if there is no devorce in philippines but still legal separation will do to nullify the marriage but it is a very long process and it cost you too much to spend money and time since the court will decide if the ground is substantial and reasonable or else the court won't nullify the marriage contract.
