Derpy Parrot In Halo 2 if I remember right the Brute Shot melee did the same amount of damage as the energy sword but I believe in Halo 3 it was nerfed

I always found it interesting that Arbiter stairs after the marine on the medical gunnery at 27:49 while everyone else is doing something else. Whats going through his head? Guilt? Confusion(depending on what lore you take, Elites may not do medicine that involves blood loss)? Consideration for what he did as a general in new light? Bafflement? Admiration of tenacity?

If I had to guess, confusion given that the Sangeli(I hope I spelt it right)/Elites might not practice medicine like humans do and admiration given that no matter how dire things have gotten for humanity, they're still looking after the ones who cannot continue the fight on their own. If I had to guess, he's forming a new sense of honor due to it all.

@@MULLERTJUH If you watch the developer commentary of Halo: CE, you'll see the lead devs make fun of that line and sarcastically call it the best line in the game, that and "they call it... HALO". Apparently the cave was originally going to look like a natural cave that looked slightly off, but as they changed the level and put in the Forerunner section they weren't able to go back and change that line, Jen Taylor was unavailable.

Remember, you can melee brutes when their shields are down, especially try to get behind them to hit them in the back it's a one hit KO for any brute

1. melee more, don't die to a nearly dead brute trying to find a new plasma pistol when you're holding a rifle with a huge knife on it. 2. you kept letting that last brute regenerate its shields, if you just kept attacking it instead of giving it a break all the time you could have killed it with just one magazine.

Load up the passenger Hog from the Scarab mission with either fuel rods or snipers. Just drive well and the 5 gods of death riding a pale Warthog will do the rest.

I like how you can actually see the improvement. Drops a bubble shield and peaks headshots in stride. Quick swaps to fire a fuel rod into the phantom then picks off the survivors. How far our boy has come

And to freakin reload when he gets the time. It triggers me so much when he walks for minutes with 6 shots left in the magazine, and switches weapons wildly so no matter what weapon he starts the fight with, he has to reload after two shots.

Be glad this isn't Legendary-- on that, they're a one-hit kill and EVERY Jackal sniper has a beam rifle, not a puny carbine. 29:40 "Your destruction is the will of the gods. And I... fun fact: they actually had practical suits for Brutes and puppet Prophets made for this. They didnt continue because in this short alone they went over budget . Neill Blomkamp was making this but scrapped his halo movie and repurposed alot of the props for District 9

Fun fact there was meant to be a Halo movie directed by Neill Blomkamp around the time of Halo 3 but Microsoft pulled the plug for unknown reason so instead he did District 9 as he wanted to do a film about aliens around then, he was so looking forward in doing a Halo Movie

Cool detail: If you look at the drone feeds in the Landfall video, the top right shows the drone altitude as 15000MSL. If this is in feet as most aviation stuff is, the drone is getting that kind of resoluion on its camera feed from 15000 feet or 5km up in the air.

I love this. Watching a play-through of your first Halo 3 experience takes me back to when I first played it myself. I didn't have an Xbox at the time, and went over to a friends house after school to play it. We would trade the controller off every time one of us died or made it to a new level. I swear, our reactions were the same as yours. The hype, the moments of silence, the banter with enemies, the sense of accomplishment or relief after a firefight. This game, and the Halo franchise as a whole, was something magical. Lightning in a bottle.

Halo was one of the first fps games I ever played. I first beat on legendary co-op with my brother. Took FOREVER to do so, but is one of my most favorite games of all time.

Remember, you can swap weapons with the marines, and they will have infinite ammunition with it. Use this layer of strategy to your advantage. It is one of the best feelings in halo give your whole squad weapons that complement each other, and watch them wreck $#!& up! In a vehicle section, I once gave all my allies snipers, R launchers, and fuel rod cannons. I barely needed to do any work. (This was on legendary)

As you know from HALO Reach. Spartans are able to fall from orbit and survive. They will be hurt doing so but they can survive said fall at terminal velocity.

Fun fact: when Johnson says "and they must love the smell of...." he actually has many different voice lines, like "they must love the smell of hero" or "they must love the scent of testosterone!".
