Montserrat Natural Park Hiking.
This is a video/photo compilation of one of the walking routes, you can take on the beautiful mountain Montserrat, Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain.
Walk with us (my mum and I) on St. Michael's (Sant Miguel) path to St. Michael's cross (Creu de Sant Miguel).
You can start this walk in back of the Santa Cova Funicular or you can take a larger route, starting at the stairs, on the left of the fountain at Plaça de l'Abat Oliba.
At the top of the two stairs turn to the left and follow the route of via Crucis (the way of the Cross).
At the end of that route, you can start the path of St. Michael.
It's a brisk walk, but the beautiful surroundings and statues will take your breath away and before you know, you have reached the top.
When you reach St. Michel's cross, the view is stunning and you can see the monestery.
Don't forget to visit St. Michael's Chapel on your way back.
My mother made it to the top of St. Michael's, with her walker.
So if she can do it, anyone can.
With a little persistence, you can achieve anything.
