This is still an amazing hire. I'm shocked we got Bobby. I hope Pittman just lets Bobby run the show because Bobby is definitely competent to do it. Might even save Pittmans job.

Perfect!. I'll never forget us playing LSU and we get the ball 6 seconds before the half. Petrino calls a long bomb and we score an 80 yard touchdown.

If Bobby Petrino is such an offensive genius why did his A&M offense rank 8th in the SEC this year with talent and depth that is superior to what Arkansas has?? Yes Petrino was really good when he was at Arkansas before but football is an evolving sport. I say time has passed Petrino by. A&M looked fine on offense in the first half against LSU. After both teams made adjustments at the half A&M got spanked in the second half. Coaching staffs make adjustments at the half and Petrino and A&M failed at making adjustments and after having a 3 point lead at the half got outscored 28-13 in the second half. Let me be the first to say hiring Petrino is as big a mistake as hiring Dan Enos was.

I get why people are reacting the way they are but this is a low risk move, and while Bobby is no church boy, I think it says something about him. I think Bobby knows that he’s going to a program that needs to win or the HC and staff will be out by the end of next season. I think Bobby knows his days of being the HC at a major program are likely over. He’s willing to eat a big piece of humble pie to return to a place he exited unceremoniously. He has a chance at redemption and to change his legacy with this program. That says a lot to me. I am excited. Yes he has a ton of baggage, but 2010 and 2011 were some of the most fun and exciting times to be an Arkansas Razorback fan and for that I will eternally be thankful.

From an a&m fan, don’t get excited until you get an o-line that is functional. It didn’t matter that we had Bobby because the o-line couldn’t hold a block. It will be the same for Arkansas.

Bobby Petrino is a lot of things but there is one thing I do believe about him and that is he loves the University of Arkansas and the Hogs. He wants to be here. Always has.

This is a ballsy move and the powers that be are pushing their chips to the center. There's no doubt Bobby can coach some offense let's hope we can get the players necessary to execute. I thought the stadium would be empty next year but with Bobby coming back people are going to want to come and watch including me. For the FUTURE, I'd like to see Bobby make a short trip over to Fayetteville high and talk to Drake Lindsay. The kid is very similar to Ryan mallett. Big, Cannon arm and can really throw it. Let's make him a Razorback!

Pittman and Petrino are going to clash. Pittman likes a run offense and Petrino likes to throw the ball. Will Pittman let Petrino play his game?

I have said that Petrino should never have been fired. There were numerous "punishments" that could have taken place without letting him go. No matter what happens next year, I look to see Ark. bounce back a lot quicker than they would if another OC was brought in.

My mother still lives in Arkansas and we discussed it. Pittman will get to focus on recruitment and morale, the figurehead. Bobby handles the battlefield and discipline. We joked that every Washington needs a Von Steuben to train the troops while he keeps them together

What exciting news! I'm so glad they're actually getting Petrino back! Respect to Sam Pittman for not having any ego about the hire. Some fans don't like Petrino but, I think he's more than paid his dues for past mistakes. We so need an OC that's an offensive mastermind and I think it's a great move!

I’ll say this!!!!…. The hiring of Petrino football wise is a positive thing… he’s very talented when it comes to building a game plan and that puts his players in the best possible position to win… However as good as he is…, we still have to get much bigger, stronger, more talented on the LOS …. You fix that and we will win far more games than we lose ..

Little known fact Bobby Petrino has a minor in mathematics meaning he has taken calculus 1 2 and 3, differential equations, linear algebra and probably one or two other math electives. You won't find a lot of coaches who can pass those classes LOL
