Walk through Harpers Ferry, WV with us as we explore the charm and history of this beautiful hill side town. Harpers Ferry borders Virginia and Maryland, with breathtaking views of the town from Maryland Heights Overlook. Although hilly, Harpers Ferry can be easily seen on foot, walking the cobblestone streets of WV. The town is rich in Civil War history with battlefields nearby, is part of the Appalachian Trail and a national historical park

Harper's Ferry is one of my favorite places to visit. I've been there many times since my first visit in 1982.

Hasn't grown much at all for it's still mostly a historical tourist attraction but looks like there are few local residents still living there for I guess they are mostly retired people !!

Need to include the walk up to Jefferson rock - great stone carved steps and good view of the rivers. If you have energy the view from the Maryland Heights trail of the city is fabulous and special
