Is this same concept as electrical radiant floor heating used under floor tile? Please explain what is the difference between floor/tile electric heating and your wall panel heater? Both seem to use the thin wire which emits heat.
@jeffcaldwell5358
@jeffcaldwell5358 3 года назад
Yes, ours uses a similar element however with a panel on the wall or ceiling you will feel the "sun-like warmth" on your body and objects in the room vs. the in-floor will warm your feet. Both are good, it really depends on what your needs are. Thank you for asking and Happy Holidays!

@@jeffcaldwell5358 thanks for quick response. Do your panels come with a thermostat or are those sold separately? What type of thermostats are available for your panels? Happy holidays...

I want a long skinny one about 70" wide for wall mount angled to seating to replicate feeling of fireplace. Also, any options for custom colors?

Great! Our SolaRay heater come in a 72" x 22.5" model that is 1000 watts and either 120 or 240 volts. Feel free to order online and don't forget the thermostat! Happy New Year! heatinggreen.com/product/solaray-heater/

@@jeffcaldwell5358 Thanks. How directional are these compared to the ones with the reflector and coil? I really want to blast it at the seating positions. To get a more discreet look, I might want to do three of the skinner ones together, can they be operated by remote as a single unit?

I have a concrete ceiling and I'm thinking I can get away with mounting this flat and high on the wall and getting some reasonable reflectivity bounce off the ceiling so I don't have to tilt it down (unsightly).

Hi there! You can mount these heaters on your wall or your concrete ceiling if you would like! However, keep in mind that concrete has a high thermal mass and absorbs the heat from the panels. However, once you give your heaters an hour or so to heat up the room, the concrete ceiling will radiate heat long after you have turned your panels off. These panels work best on the ceiling at about 8-11 feet off the floor as the radiant heat "falls" down and heats the people and things in the room. We also do not recommend putting these in the wall as they have a surface temperature of ~200 degrees. Putting these panels on the ceiling eliminates the possibility of someone touching the panel and getting burned. Please feel free to visit our website at heatinggreen.com for more information!

@@HeatingGreen Ah thanks! I was thinking of on the wall above a TV an inch off the ceiling, so touching not too big a deal, unless you are saying 200 Celsius.

@@DCUPtoejuice No, this is a very US-centric video: measurements in feet and temperatures in Fahrenheit. 200°f is around 93°c.

Is there any way to have these controlled by a smart thermostat?
@jeffcaldwell5358
@jeffcaldwell5358 3 года назад
Yes, we have both Ecobee low voltage thermostats if you desire to have more than 4000 watts on one heater or the Mysa line voltage thermosat. Both are wifi controlled and they can be programmed or manually controlled as well. I hope this helps you RJ! heatinggreen.com/all-heating-green-products/

@@jeffcaldwell5358 How does the thermostat interface with the heater? Can the same EcoBee control a mini split or traditional HVAC and the heaters?

How different is this heater compared to warm floor heater or tile heating which uses a thin wire to heat the tile floors? It sounds like the same concept. Please explain.
