The lead construction engineer (1980 - 1984) of the Trump tower was a female named Barbara Res. It was huge deal back then bcos only few women worked in construction. Just the fact that Trump gave her a chance to prove herself was something amazing imo, even Fred Trump his father didn’t really like her.
It is an interesting piece of architectural history/Americana. It was very glamorous in its heyday and a landmark. He and Ivana and many others deserve credit for this project. I give him credit for his real estate projects and reality tv show.
This was the most amazing stay I’ve ever had. I was on the 50th something floor! Ceiling showers, glass staircase, remote blinds, best view of NYC ever!
That building is actually really cool. I love the idea of futuristic architecture and Trump Tower reminds me of what it could look like, ofc some differences, but mostly on the same line.
My daughter and I went to see the tower inside. Yes, from ythe first floor to the restroom floor was opened to the public then. I hate to say this, after walking down on 5th Avenue, we needed to find a restroom, sure enough there was a restroom to use at Trump Tower. We were so glad that we were able to witness this tower. After I bought my Louie Vuitton purse, we continued to walk down the street until I saw Trump Tower. I thought it was only for rich people or if you have business to go in there? Beautiful, classy building, made of marble and beautiful everywhere inside and outside. When we went few times in New York, Trump Tower didn’t have the stuff in front of the building. It was opened. I visited NYC around 2005 as a 15 year old and Trump tower was the most beautiful thing by far. The waterfall and then just simply sitting in the closed bar with the red velvet furniture and dim lighting was surreal to say the least. I didn't have any views on the man at that time yet this property managed to become one of my fondest memories.
damn when u look at the interior design, it has a very 2000s luxury feel. U can feel the oldness like I was transported back to the early 2000s. design def looks old, but has a very nostalgic feel to it.
A friend of mine was visiting me here in Chicago recently and we finally got inside of Trump tower Chicago, including the balcony of a restaurant there with incredible views. Inside and out was beyond amazing!

Back in the 1990s, I had an account at the Bank of New York and if I am not mistaken it is their headquarter at 40 Wall Street. I was cocky in those days as I was the only one in my workplace who had his bank near the New York Stock Exchange! 😊
