Walk with us (my mom and I) through the beautiful surroundings of Park Güell to MUHBA Turó de la Rovira (Carmel Bunkers)
So Proud of my mom that, despite her pain and disability, she thoroughly enjoys walking in the beautiful surroundings of Barcelona.
On our way we will pass Parc del Guinardó and Pont de Mühlberg.
* Park Guëll was designed by Antoni Gaudi. in 1900, Eusebi Güell gave Gaudí the assignment to design Park Güell after he did a great job designing this house, Palau Güell. Gaudí lived in one of the two houses that were built there.
*The Guinardó park is located in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona . It was created in 1918 with a design by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier , with the help of his disciple Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí . It was remodeled and expanded in 1977 by Joaquim Casamor . We are not walking through the hole parc, but you can get a glimps of the beatiful surroundings
*MUHBA Turó de la Rovira (Carmel Bunkers) is a hill overlooking Barcelona with an altitude of 262m. During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) the Republican anti-air defence authority (DECA) found that the hill was the most suitable place to build its anti-aircraft battery, which was instrumental in republican efforts to defend Barcelona. The view over there is stunning and you can watch a breathtaking sunset
