… You are the best on RU-vid with German Shepherds. None better. Reason being, you give feedback/communication/patience and appropriate reprimands. There is a trainer with about 75 thousand subs who is too self absorbed and impatient to give queues and believes that German Shepherds should just follow and listen without them. 😆 German Shepherds love communication and the owner should learn that. Keep up the good work. 👏🏼 💥 … Beckman’s is 👎🏼
This is my favourite of all your videos and I feel like I've probably watched them all!! I ADORE the calmness and the reliability of Drogo - chalk and cheese difference from when he first arrived and he was walking you. I've started training my three GSD now; just sits and stays and downs with food luring and hand commands and I'm eager to get started on place, leash pressure and heel, but I'm diligently watching the entirety of Leashed before I start. In the meantime, these videos give me insights, hope and confidence. Thank you Garret. Natalie (UK)
I spent some time today working on this with my young female and she responded to this technique amazingly, 100% a game changer with getting her to walk on leash nicely. Love the content keep up the amazing work can't wait to watch more and keep learning new training skills.
I have a pit/lab he's so stubborn he can do all this on leash but not ready to go off leash yet. How do you get to this point so quickly. And how do you know when he's ready. Your amazing by the way and I used some of your techniques to train him and they absolutely work.
I have a red heeler portuguese podango cross who while very smart and sweet with family has a extreme prey and protective drive. Your videos have helped me sooo much with his training. Thanks for another great video.
If u ever see this i think u should do a video of all these trainings but with the equipment like without the digital leash or the choking leash or the stand cause I’m just a 13 year old trying to train my dog and I can’t buy all that yet so plz ass u can see kn my profile picture that’s my dog and he’s a bully a pit bull and bulldog hope u see this🙂
I recently discovered your videos, I have an older dog. We walk late at night and get to a park where I can see anything coming our way. She doesn't stick right next to me, always sniffing around and exploring the space. There is a radius that I try to keep her in and when she inches too far I'll click my tongue, get her attention and she'll wait for a second....but now watching your videos I question if that's safe. If another dog would come by I'd have to leash her because she'll want to interact/play with them. I want to let her enjoy her walk, smell what she wants, be hands free and know that if another dog or rabbit runs by that she won't go after it. Is there a happy medium?
So I take it that the heel and loose leash walking has to be good before moving onto this stage? I'm afraid of even taking the leash off my young shepherd. Once she sees geese, she bolts to chase. She seems to know when she's on and off leash. 🤔
Pro tip/ I’m watching for techniques and insurance we don’t need the leash. But we will always use. 11 week old Dalmatian puppy! No prong dollar. Halti trained! But my besties uses prong collars. Whatever works. Halte takes time and respect and understanding ! They can eat drink and play with it on - do walks with it while attached leash to collar not to over stimulate them at first!
I have inherited a PitBull mix and he’s a great dog at the age of one yet old, love what your doing with the dogs. I’m learning or should I say we’re learning everyday. I was a fraud to walk him but, with your trying and expertise, I’m doing better. What type of E collar do you recommend? Thank you New subbie
@@AmericanStandardK9 love your channel. I get so much great info from watching your videos to help train my Blue Pug. But I honestly mean that, in this day there's so many things not worth its value and whatever you may be charging your customers for training is well worth it. Yes in the "real" value of the dog having a happier, obedient life but I'm referring to the value in a professional who is experienced in dog training and is the one training the dog. That my friend, you pay in aces...
