I live on the Westside and am usually walking my pooches at Pacific Palisades Park, Venice Canals or parks but Castellammare Dr. near Sunset & PCH is a gorgeous neighborhood walk with ocean views and hidden stairways and of course gorgeous homes. Heading north turn right at Revello Dr. to walk the loop. All the westside neighborhoods north of San Vicente are interesting with million $$ homes. For a steep street workout park at E. Channel Rd. (near the SM Stairs) to Amalfi Dr. My GF lived in Los Feliz on Lyric Ave. & we enjoyed the walk to the 4000 block of Holly Knoll Dr. & go up the hill, turn R on Myra to get back. Happy walking!

I am fortunate to have spent time in almost all of those neighborhoods excluding Pasadena.Beng a native of LA most of those neighborhoods are well known to me. I grew up in Studio City, but spent a lot of time in LA in the Mid Wilshire and Korea Town areas. I had friends in Sherman Oaks and Toluca Lake, I had cousins that lived up in the Hollywoods Hills, Echo Park, and Beverly Hills, and spent a good amount of time in Santa Monica my favorite place to hang out.

You need to see Pasadena before it is completely overrun by townhouse communities. Grand Avenue, Orange Grove, and Arroyo Drive (not Parkway, Arroyo Parkway is farther east) from north Pasadena to South Pasadena (incorporated in 1888) have some nice walking neighborhoods.

Great video. Thanks for sharing!! Can’t wait to check out some of these neighborhoods. A couple our faves... Valley Village neighborhood between Riverside & Laurel Canyon is one of my favorites. It is quiet, clean, and big beautiful homes. South Pasadena off Mission & Meridian St. is a great neighborhood to walk and check out Michael Meyers and Laurie Strode homes from the movie Halloween. One more... Studio City on both sides of Tujunga Ave. between Moorpark & the LA River. Big homes, quiet neighborhood and don’t forget to check out the Brady Bunch house on Dilling. 👍😀

Love your videos. I'm 68, from Colorado, but I get out to Southern California once or twice a year. I lived in Manhattan Beach right out of college and explored LA, but recently I've begun going back through places I missed, and I'm never disappointed. I've been to a lot of places you've highlighted in other posts. On this post, did you just park and begin walking without much of a plan, or did you use some sort of game plan on these outings?
@RockessentialTim
@RockessentialTim 2 года назад
Hey Mark. Did we have much of a plan--- No! At the time we started shooting we were under fairly severe Covid restrictions. Everything was closed and we were going stir-crazy in our own little hood. We just started driving around and if a neighborhood looked good we went for it. My sister in law lives in Alta Dena so that's why we got out that way a lot. After the first video came out people started giving us suggestions and that's how we ended up in a lot of those neighborhoods.

Depends on the city. One neighborhood we Iived in, we got two permits we could hang on friends cars. If we needed more, we call in and get a temp permit code we write on a piece of paper to hang in car. The temp ones were one night only. The permanent ones we had to renew.
