What a neat little diner. Nothing like an old school place to get a nice meal. Never would have thought about putting apples in an omelet! My brother used to own a diner back in the late nineties and a bbq restaurant. I spent many hours standing over a flattop grill just like the one featured here at Walker's! Great video as always!

I never heard of the towns but I do love diners especially the retro shiny silver ones with the jukeboxes right above the booths. We are lucky enough to have two that are still around. I honestly would choose a diner over a swanky place anytime unless it’s a special occasion. Cindy, I would definitely had tried your breakfast. I didn’t read the complete menu so I assumed it was a raw thinly sliced apple not fried apples. They had a nice selection of pies. I love little these little gem places. Sometimes I made my husband go through little towns instead of freeways, turnpike and interstate highways. The zooming in and out of lanes is something I don’t experience enough. Big Hello to Carly. We had an only child, a daughter named Taylor so Carly reminds me of our girl going everywhere. She actually enjoyed every venture. Have a wonderful Sunday!

I will say that Pennsylvania and New Jersey have good diners in my experiences. I love going through little towns and seeing their main streets. So I understand why you get your husband to do this. Carly loves our adventures. She was at school and we made a quick trip to Walker's Diner. I told her we would go back and walk or bike the HIgh Bridge Trail and go to Walker's. We actually picked her up from school on Friday and went to the western part of Virginia/Tennessee for a quick adventure. RU-vid videos to come. lol I'm sure Taylor brings you as much joy as Carly does us. Have a fabulous week!

Have eaten here many times. Used to take your Little Mommie and Pop there quite often for breakfast. A little time has elapsed since I ate there but I always enjoyed my food. Next time I’m in Farmville, may have to visit Walker’s again.

Thanks so much! This is actually the town where I went to college. I grew up about 20 minutes from here. I've always loved Farmville. We need to do some more videos from here. Carly was in school that day so she didn't get to go with us. I told her we would go back to walk to the High Bridge and go to Walkers.

Mark, Walker's is actually closed on Monday and Tuesday. If you are wanting to eat while in Farmville, let us suggest The Fishing Pig. We did a review awhile back in an older location. Now it's located right in front of Walmart. I do think you would enjoy Walker's Diner. Too bad it's closed tomorrow. Enjoy Green Front!

We do too! This one is so cool because it is an actual Valentine's Diner. You don't find many of them around. I've tried to research it but am having trouble finding ones in operation. I'd love to check out some more of them.

That omelette with apples that you were telling us about, did look interesting. This also looks like a fun little town to tour. Did you tell what that caboose was behind you? I noticed it has a table and chairs beside of it.

The omelette was surprisingly good! It's a great town. I (Cindy) actually went to college in Farmville. I grew up about 20 minutes from here so we often went to Farmville when I was a kid. The caboose was actually located at the train station for years (which is not far from the current location). It was moved to the current location so the community could get more use out of it. There is more activity there on main street and at the entrance to the High Bridge Trail. There is a stage built on the caboose that local musicians can perform on for different events.

That's so cool! We are about 35 minutes from Farmville. I actually went to Longwood and grew up going to Farmville a lot as a kid. We don't get there that much but always love going to Farmville. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

The trail is great I have biked it several times and the view from the bridge is fantastic. It you get there at day break in the spring you can hear turkeys gobbling from the bridge. On hot days below FarmVille you can find snacks and cool drinks to purchase on your ride. Side note near Covington and Clifton Forge by the Petticoat Junction store is another great 15 mile trail like the High Bridge. Stop by the Buck Horn campground for 20 some flavors of Hershey’s ice cream. Scoop of coffee and strawberry cheese cake does the trick.

I heard not to press your hamburger patties on the grill it takes away the juices ? Is that true ?

I have heard both ways about smashing your burger. I've heard smashing it sears the outside and locks in the juices. I've also been told before that it has to do with the timing of when you smash it. Not for sure, but we do know a good burger when we taste one. lol Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
