Thank for sharing, I'm originally from Erdington and lived there for over 20 years. I used to go to Abbey Primary School, and we had to go to mass at The Abbey Church once a week. The graveyard with the crucifix hasn't been a graveyard for that long - in the 80s we used to have our annual school sports day there! You did a great job capturing what a fantastic building the church is. I walked through that old archway hundreds of times!
@@citiesthroughmyeyes I've lived in Brisbane, Australia for 10 years now. Erdington High St used to be OK in the 80s and early 90s, but there haven't been many good shops for ages. People I know don't feel safe going there anymore, which is a shame.
It's certainly brings back a lot of memories I was bought up and 80s 90s on castle vale Also I went to school in erdington but my family are from pype Hayes
