Fabulous! I've been to Joensuu many times, but not for a while, certainly not since the redevelopment of the centre square. Wonderful city and wonderful people.
Definitely I like the capital of North Karelia Joensuu, also the capital of South Karelia -Lappeenranta.They are 12th and 13th largest cities.I like Sinisen virran portti, actually there are 2 "doors":)).Very nice tour!
I've been there once. It's nice for a one time visit, but honestly it is really boring there. Feels like a town for old people. But streets are clean and the nature there is nice.
En oo nyt pitkää aikaa tuolla käyny vaikka melkee kaikki sukulaiset siellä asuu ja ite asun Vantaalla mut on kyl hieno paikka ja hienoja muistoja tullu tuolta
A curiosity, Is also possibile to see aurora borealis from Joentsuu ??? I was there at the end of May and the beginning of June 2018, so anyway impossible to see It. I Remember works in progress in the main Square. Ihave also saw the Scholl year end party at the stadium. I have great souvenirs of this Town like funny peoples, nice women and many pub and disco . Ihave also seen the John Deere factoryv plant. Greetings from Italy.
Thanks for the comment, you seem to have many nice memories from the city. It's possible to see northern lights in Joensuu and even southern Finland, but more rare than in northern Finland.
@@Polulla i have been in Finlandi also in deep Winter with my old Fiat Panda 4x4 in january 2019 , and i have seen northern light the First Time on the Road between IVALO and INARI going to North kapp. I stopped the car ,i went out and i stay one hour and hallf to see the Sky like a fool at minus 20 . What a wonderful thing !!! I Will Remember this to the end of my days!!! In my opinion Finland Is also wonderful in Winter time.!!!
Yes it is rare possibility. Only time I've ever seen aurora borealis was as military conscript at Sotinpuro artillery shooting range near Nurmes in Northern Carelia February 1982.
