Hi Scott, my old school, Aberdeen Academy, corner Belmont St and Schoolhill, I know things have to change but sad to see a Nando’s in amongst those beautiful buildings. As with the local churches being turned into pubs and nightclubs, although I realise this is not just common to Aberdeen. Cheers Ken
They've kept the name Academy, but you're right about it being sad to see a Nando's anywhere. You're right about all the repurposed churches. They've become flats, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Really, they've become almost everything you can conceive.
@@scottg2754 Is the Academy still a shopping centre? There doesn’t seem to be too much foot traffic around the area as you would expect. As always thanks for your efforts.
@@kenbremner5019 Academy is restaurants/bars, but there are at least a couple of "To Let" signs as well. As you walk down to Bon Accord, there are a few places that are also vacant. The same goes for the Centre itself.
