I totally agree. It's been over 25 years I shifted to Caro Lalo and first time I'm seeing such a horror. During these 25 years there has been massive building construction and needless to say today lays building instead of those green fields and vegetation. To top up when buildings are being constructed there's only slabs, walls, obviously the rain water will flood the area. Saddening.

The island of Mauritius is full of construction sites and criss-crossing roads. There is not much forest left. There are malls scattered everywhere across the island to benefit construction companies. Need to grow more trees and stop all construction activities.
This is what happened when you have a clueless government who doesn't employ the right people for the weather broadcast, they only think about their pocket and make sure that they have their family in jobs they are not even qualified
There is a period of cyclones, and what does the government have to do with it? On the island, everywhere and everyone was warned in advance that there was a cyclone and what would happen. We stocked up on food and water and hope that everything will be fine. How can the government stop the wind of 150 km/h?
The reason why we are blaming the government is because we were in "cyclone warning 2" in the morning which means people still has to go to work. We don't work in " warning 3 ". The warning 3 was announce at noon, which means that everyone returned home at the same time after it rained for hours and the road were already flooded. Most " mass concentration" are people returning from work. Thats why there were so many vehicles in other vids. Weather is certainly unprectictable but Independent reporters have reported since Thursday that the cyclone would be intense on Monday. I dont know anything about cyclones but a quick satelite search can show you how intense n big it is. Every year the same thing happens. The director of the meteo in mauritius resigned this afternoon.

I have solution to this problem, I have stayed in Terre rouse. Choose the the same government, Indian government can clean the river, mean make it more deeper. With time all garbage have collected at the bottom of river, We need to remove this garbage from bottom. Space for flowing water have diminished because of garbage and clay. After removing garbage and clay river will flow normal. Terre rouse also get same problem near pharmacy. Main solution is cleaning river. Jay bharat.

Mauritius is a dump..one kilometres from the beaches.Destroyed by never ending sugar cane fields. and in between the poorest villages I've ever seen. Don't be fooled...Erosion is because of this ravaging of the land..my experience

The ice is melting. Evaporation of freshwater is increasing. The air is polluted, every economy in the world is running on an operating with fossil fuels . What Can this small planet expect from us in the future? We need to stop spending money on foolish things. And practice birth control in an 😊intelligent serious way . Paradise is full . One other thing all those rivers in the world that have been damn used to supply nutrients and coolants to the seas and oceans .
