We were looking in limestone glens for this Walking fern, which we haven't seen in Broome County. An undivided/uncut fern that looks very un-fern-like. Its name comes from its foliar budding ("leaf-walking") vegetative propagation (cloning). The process is not subtle, as this short video shows. Images from Filmore Glen State Park, Moravia, NY.
