My secret love, Cuba. I am a salsa dancer and I've been to Havana twice and danced my socks off, its a magical place. The majestic buildings, the beautiful cars, some renovated but most dilapidated, the mystery and the history of the island. Too many stories hidden behind smiles. The people are mostly poor and rigidly managed but live wires who are rich in culture and music. Walking Habana Vieja at night, the sounds of both reggaeton and salsa seeping through all the cracks. Cannot wait to go back! And I love the real time movement of this video, no editing, no looking left or right, no judgement, just walking through as though in a dream. Why are most walking videos taken from the streets? Why not walk on the sidewalks? If someone was really there, I would think they would want to walk out of traffic.

I don't see how people can keep cars that old running. These cars are 60+ years old. Just to get the parts for these cars must be very difficult. Not to mention Rust and Rot.

With everything that they have been through, still a beautiful country. I could just imagine what this country would have been like if the forces that be, had just left them alone to develop. Hands down, Havana would have been one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.

Filming on the road is ok by me because you will not tread in any surprises left by street dogs.Havana has UNESCO world heritage status, and can be considered a world gem from the past. The video is focused and considering the camera is mobile with the camera person, its a real good piece of work. If you walk in Havana, you will not seriously want to walk on the pavement, especially at night.

Why walk in the street? You almost got hit couple times. Besides, the viewers won't get the real feeling of what it's like to walk on the sidewalk, where pedestrians are supposed to be.

Wow. Very interesting-it’s almost like a time capsule from the 50s or 60s, with all those old cars and buildings, and virtually no advertising of any kind. And so few outward signs of commercial activity. Amazing this is 2018.

It looks like the slums of Detroit. The average Cuban earns about $30 american per month regardless of weather they're janitor or a neurosurgeon.

Cuban revolution was very very successful ,, they proved that the time could be STOPED!!

For those interested the video begins on 23rd street in Verdado close to avenue of the presidents, it’s a more or less affluent area nice homes Cubans with money. Not as densely populated. You walk near the capitalio in central Havana then up obpispo street to old Havana. Go to Cuba before it changes it’s worth seeing , it’s safe don’t miss it once it changes it will change forever.

You shoud put the time of the day in the video, then we would be able to guess the city life based on that.

Its noticeable that there is a social divide in Cuba. The more priviliged ones live in tree-lined streets, have fairly good cars. The poorer ones live in tenement houses that are crumbling to pieces.

Reminded me of New Orleans and Saint Augustine Florida USA, beautiful with a old clean city, I love it.

Thank you for your video....!!from a Cuban born in Havana in 1955...check and you'll see that those are the remains of one of the richest Cities in the XX Century...actually the present day inhabitants of Havana are the peasants and their descendants that Castro brought to populate the city more than 50 years ago,.since the original native born Cubans of all major Cuban cities had to leave the country and the state kept all their wealth....!!! I hope that all those Historic houses don't fall prey of the greed of capitalism and pull all them down to build horribles CAT CONDOS ..for the rich....!!!Deeply grateful for your video!!!

i just returned from a trip to cuba on the NCL sky and there is no question they are very poor and have ration cards for food they took us to the nice sections but you can see buildings in disrepair old cars from the 50 and many russian cars you dont even see in russia ha ha ha but it was interesting my first time there
