This is the final part of the walking series in Varanasi. Video recorded 6 March 2020 before Covid 19 pandemic!
Varanasi, or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. Abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, the origins of Varanasi are yet unknown. Ganges is believed to have the power to wash away the sins of mortals.

@@javerialaghari4361 Indonesia. I remember 3 years ago, my uncle park his car on the wrong spot, in the center of Bandung city. The department of transportation took my uncle's car used tow-truck to the nearest police station. He got fined a $100 USD because of that 😂

@ The people are not really interacting but honking their way out of the way. What really annoyed me is that many Westerners says that India is beautiful and wonderful and all that, which India is not. It gives a false sense of approval from them to the Indian people that India is doing very well and so they don't have to strive hard enough to lift India from being a underdeveloped country to at least a middle income nation. What this Westerners did is petting the head of an Indian and telling how good they are for their Instagram's photos to show to their friends that they are now touring the exotic and poverty stricken land of India. All these Westerners comments are doing a disservice to India.

you have to understand that this entire city centre is undergoing a massive redevelopment program...from roads to intersections to a complete new waterfront...so it might look a little messy with half or even no roads...

Hi there I belong to this city.... The Varanasi... Its actually the main centre nerve of the city or you can say the heart of the city... Since lots of construction activities are going on so it might look dirty or dusty... But dear it's just for matter of year after completion of the work please do visit my city you will get the best experience I assure you... Love from INDIA...
