The Royal Museums are a large museum complex, located in the heart of the city of Turin and including the Royal Palace, the Royal Gardens, the Royal Library, the Royal Armoury, the Savoy Gallery, the Museum of Antiquities, the ground floor of Palazzo Chiablese and the Chapel of the Holy Shroud. The Royal Museums offer a historical, artistic and natural itinerary that extends over about 50,000 square meters, and which was built up progressively between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries, hand in hand with the history of the Savoia family.
