Sometimes people don't understand why older people don't make follow up appointments. There can be a number of reasons but speaking from experience you have so many appointments you get mixed up and you just get tired of being confused. Thank you for caring for this young senior 😊🙏🏿

His pain is mostly due to his neuropathy. The slightest pressure on any part of his feet and probably lower legs causes extreme pain (usually feels like electrical shocks.) with millions suffering in the U.S. alone, I’m appalled that more studies aren’t being conducted and not enough research for sure.

You're the only podiatrist I've seen on RU-vid that takes the time to remove not only the dead skin but also, and very importantly, the dead skin around the nails/cuticles. Thank you! As a licensed cosmetologist I've seen a lot of people who, when that dead skin hardens, it becomes a major issue, cracking and causing ingrown nails. I know your job is medical and you deal with specific conditions, but it's your responsibility to also prevent more possible conditions. I have to wonder if these other podiatrists are creating future situations to keep patients coming back!!

My mom had an old horse rider's phrase I keep hearing in my head, "Been rode hard and put away wet." He needs some of that shoe spray bowling alleys use in the rental shoes. It's antifungal and antibacterial. I looked into getting some for my bil. Foot care is so important for diabetics due to neuropathy and slow healing. Thanks for treating him with kindness and without scolding him.

Glad to see you spray water on the feet when you are using that drill on calluses and dead skin. Other podiatrists drill and all that skin and nail dust gets everywhere, also the head of that drill probably gets hot from the friction.Great work Dr. Jefferson, been watching you for years, keep it up!

Thank you so much for the Joy of Beauty recommendation. My 86 year old mother is a diabetic and we are diligent when it comes to her skin and her feet. Constant lotions and creams to keep her from drying out. We will have to look into this.

Wonderful bedside manner, excellent podiatry care. I worked for a Podiatrist for 20 years, the elderly needed the most care and were the most appreciative.
