3 or 4 months ago they were tearing up each side of the street fixing the runoff drainage. Now, they are tearing up the sidewalk and replacing what looks like sewer pipes. Seems like it would have made more sense to do it at the same time, but who knows!
Walking Street is like a scene from the movie 'All Quiet On The Western Front' or "Enemy At The Gate". Soon people walking thru there will be required to wear steel toed boots and be wrapped in a hundred pounds of cotton balls.
I expect this pipe laying on Walking Street to be all done by late August when I return. I want to be there on September 1st when the Christmas music starts at SM Mall...I get a thrill listening to the song 'White Christmas' when the temps are in the 90s and the humidity and dewpoints are off the charts.

I admit to being nostalgic for the eighties scene of rockin at the Port Orient, Crow's Nest, and Flying Machine. I know people don't go to the bars for music, but based on my observations of the eve of June 3 of this year, I don't see how people can listen to she's a little bit dangerous everywhere or a video of a pop song with a dance troupe moving in unison? I like it in Thailand or Medellin Colombia a few years ago where they will hand you the keyboard and let you play whatever you feel like.
