August bank holiday Monday (26-8-24), and my 4 lads and I set out to walk the canal from Stourton to Wombourne. It was a lovely walk, through some fantastic scenery. Sadly the end of the day was spoiled when my oldest lads car failed. He only bought it (from a garage in Birmingham) on Friday. Yet the gearbox has gone. While it's, "Well that's life", when it's your son and neither he nor you can afford to put it right (no, it was an older car and no warranty), it's not just a shrug. Still , that doesn't affect the walk we had. That's just me ranting as I'm just beginning to deal with it today.
