@@iAlwaysStink you say that yet all of the other launch maps (Kino, “FIVE”, TranZit, Nacht, Die machine, IX, voyage, BOTD, Classified, the giant and Der anfang) are all less detailed than the maps that released after them.
@@Squiddy-go1dueah well half the maps you named were released on Xbox 360 so and idk about more detail than voyage or nine maybe just bigger if not same size voyage was meant to represent a titanic as nine was a colosseum compared to an entire fictional city and it’s well known bo4 is ass and was rushed without a real development team they had less than half the time and people to come out with what they did. They put their heart in soul in bo3 why it’s so beloved today and people still play the shit out of it
They put a lot of effort into this map, since it’s the first one, they had plenty of time. If they had more time, I’d bet a lot of the other maps would’ve been just as detailed.

Hi! Long time bo3 mod tools user here lol. so the interesting thing about why some things have collision and some dont is when they build and decorate these maps, they're using either brushes or models. brushes will be for example the floor you walk on anywhere you go, or a normal flat brick wall, or sometimes a roof. Unless they check an option, these brushes will have collision. With models, they dont have collision by default (such as the staircase you fall through, thats a model) and if you can walk on it, it means theyve added an invisible clip brush that you can walk on for whatever reason. I also wanna say that when they were making the layout for SoE, they completed more areas than you can go in and most likely had to block them off for gameplay reasons or something. But originally SoE was probably gunna be a bit bigger! SoE is one of, if not my favourite map. Loved it when it came out, love it now! I understand what you mean about traversing the map, but I'd say that's what the teleporters are good for. If you learn their positions, you can get from any district to any other one quite quickly. Anyway you've gained another sub, can't wait to see future vids!
The "latin" on the newspaper, isn't latin, it is called Lorem Ipsum, it us dummy text. Programmers use Lorem Ipsum to have text somewhere just for the idea to fill it up so it isn't empty.
It would be cool if one of the map deisgners stumbled upon your videos and explained some of the things you have found that have had detail or collision

@@Pitera2140 it’s literally in PAP room… in the gap you have to wall run over, just go into beast and jump down into it. (It also works without beast mode if you get a connection interrupted.)
I think I remember seeing a video from Glitching Queen going over the Footlight District, that the side streets were originally intended to be a playable part of the map but got cut. Hence why there’s a decent amount of detail there
Shadows is such a beautiful map, I love the 1940s vibe. I always wondered if the green light on the docks was a reference to The Great Gatsby given the era of time the map is roughly based in. Knowing how much is detailed is pretty cool, SoE is a top 5 map for me!
The reason the time was not right yet is because you didn't have the summoning key so you can't start opening the pack-a-punch. The time is not right yet
If it were up to me, I'd program jumpscares outside the map to trigger only when the camera leaves the playable area... thatt way when modders use no clip to get outside the map or players glitch out of bounds or someone uses a theater mode camera to get out there, they have a nice little suprise waiting for them. (Especially for people who make youtube videos)

I know a lot of people compare to it to Chicago, a lore video even theorized the city was actually Chicago just renamed from its corruption. But I think the overall aesthetic is based of Gotham City, particularly Tim Burton and the Arkham games take on it.
Oh shit he played the soundtrack from the third stage area in doa 2 and in red ins rally I have gone so fast that not once but twice I wall clipped outside the track it takes a few seconds for me to teleport to the starting line but at that point the game won't register your controller inputs until the race ends the one time I played by myself I hade to wait the whole timer out

Great video I love seeing people going outside of maps in zombies bc u see how the developers make the player feel like they are there and they try to hide the zombie spawns for the players don’t see zombie’s coming out of nowhere i really like this type of stuff I think it’s very cool

Can you please tell me what mod your using to bind noclip? Even with the console command ex. “ bind “x” noclip “ or. “Bind x noclip” it doesn’t work though they work on t6 t5 and t4
pro tip: go play cold war for a bit with rampage inducer active- itll suck at first, but once you're able to survive a few rounds, going back to bo3 will be piss easy!
@@salmon_wine I played like Black ops 3 how many times, that's why God damn Black ops 1 when they double swipe you you don't want in my opinion I don't know what's better between Black ops 3 and 1, even though there's a lot of shit guns in bo1 but the maps story and perks are good, especially call of the dead because of George Romero himself, while Black ops 3 is a nightmare,only had one new perk which replaced phd flopper and only gave zero explosive damage from a gobble gum

Beast Mode is why, If you guys knew how these maps are made, then all these places would not seam so attractive. The reason you see a wall but when you follow it around it disappears right? Well that is a Terrian patch with one side showing, probably for a back ground look.
