I was in Nosara last year and we visited the beach and farmer's market in Samara. We opted to live in San Isidro de El General.

@marikodrouin5810 I cannot give advice regarding schools; however, I can tell you that weather wise there was more of a breeze in Samara vs Nosara. But then again, if we had been higher up in Nosara, it would have been cooler. Both have great ferias. If you are wanting to walk to the store etc. then Samara is the better option. I'd probably recommend visiting both places for 2-3 months and then decide which you'd wish to move to.

Thanks for the video! Its very therapeutic for me especially today! There was a big tornado 🌪 that passed through Tennessee and lots of homes and businesses in my area were destroyed. 😢 6 people died and being that it was so close to where I live, still feeling anxious 😟. great job.stayed in samara for 2 weeks at the azura all inclusive last april,samara is the most chiling and beautiful beach,that weve been to.

Thanks, Azura isn't actually considered staying in Samara, it's an all inclusive first of all, you missed an opportunity to spend less and get a full experience by booking elsewhere. and it's not actually in Samara, it's on the outskirts of Torito. Anyone who reads this comment, book at Sea Casa and eat at the local restaurants it's less expensive and you get more of a cultural experience.

We love Samara but have only visited short term. Spending a few days there in February and may look for a longer term (1month) stay in the future. It's small and clean, and the beach is amazing.

I can see that Samara has grown a lot since my 3 day stay at Sea Casa last year, but it’s looking pretty cool, just as I remember. Limeys has the best Fish & Chips on Fridays,and thanks for the tip on that when I was there. I still wear their t-shirt I bought. Also, the steak I had at “El Lagarto” was one of the best I’ve had in CR, and I sat at a table right next to the beach to watch the sunset. 👍 Hanging out with the two of you at Cocos drinking craft beer is a great memory, as well as the very special drone video you made for me at one of the nicest, quietest beaches in CR “Playa Carrillo”. I still show it to different people. So good!! Samara beach is great with all the cool restaurants you can desire. Thanks for hanging out with me and Ed at the Whale Tail Brewery 🍻 when you came to Uvita this year, a special memory for sure. This town, after nearly 2 years of living here is growing rapidly as well, which brings well needed employment to the local Costa Rican people, many of who are now my friends. Take care my friends, enjoy this last Christmas in CR, and Bon Voyage. ❤

Thanks for watching, Shayna and I both run this channel not just me. We made a video about it which you can find under our videos tab about why we are leaving. No three 10 story condos being built. Not sure what Facebook group you're getting your info from? And even if someone did build three 10 story condos, good for them. Everywhere has development and everyone should have the opportunity to live in Costa Rica just like everyone now and in the past.

I was about to ask if Samara is walkable, but I would assume so as you're doing this walk through lol. Where would you recommend I look for rentals here? I'd likely want to rent for a week & if I love it, stay long term. Do you have any WhatsApp or Facebook groups I can look in? And in terms of the area of Samara, which is best for someone without transportation to get to the stores / market & also to the beach? Thank you in advance for your help!

No I didn’t miss it, but sometimes people won’t state the actual truth, and after seeing first hand what it and the rest of CR has and is becoming, I drew that conclusion. Since none of what’s happening here ever gets mentioned in your videos (or very little at best), you can’t really blame me for drawing that conclusion.

My guess as to why you are leaving Samara/CR is the insane influx of foreigners with way too much money…or as the Tico’s put it “gentrification”. I am utterly disappointed with what is happening in Samara and the whole of CR.
