Nice that they cut a path to walk through. Some serious blackberry bushes around there! Our blackberry bush is loaded this year. I wondered if ticks were an issue. Probably a mess of chiggers also. We have both in MS, but not as bad as other places. Y’all don’t want lime disease. Nasty stuff. Like you said, just imagine what the soldiers went through. That is some beautiful Virginia scenery to enjoy with history. Malibu’s strawberry outfit was great! I liked the Union soldier. Nice touch. Even knew his unit. 🇺🇸 The McLean House topped it off. A great day for you 3.

Thank you Jim for the comments. We had a blast minus the ticks. I just love walking around history and soaking it all in. I can’t even imagine what it must have been like in 1865 there .
