See this is what most people don't see. Most think Philly is all like Kensington and don't realize those videos are about 10 blocks of philly. Thank you for showing this
I couldn't have said it better. 💯 you hit the nail on the head. 🙏🏽 Yes sir! Thats why I document all 100+ different neighborhoods in Philadelphia. Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. Have a good day
Thanks for this bro I’m from west philly of 64th and Gerald next to the library but I live in FL now almost all of the videos I see is the bad parts of philly thanks for this
❤❤❤ I grew up in Germantown then Wynnefield! My elementary school- Samuel Gompers! Although I’m 66 years now I recognize your route. Dad got a job in Cherry Hill so we moved when I was 11 years old. I’m still recovering ❤️🩹😁 My feet are still firmly rooted in Philly despite living 250 miles away for over 40 years now. If dad didn’t get that job I’d have attended Beeber and Overbrook High. Oodles of memories came to mind joining you on this walk. I just discovered your channel and I can see your videos will be tugging at my heart! Thank you!
I lived in Wynnefield (Drexel Rd.) for decades. Sadly had to move around nine years ago. The area changed dramatically over the decades but it was always a great place to live.
You’re hilarious and you say “jawn” too! I fear my Chinese and Korean drama watching will take a hit as I accompany you and your fellow walkers through these videos.
Miss Foster 3rd grade Miss Cohan 4th Mrs Jensen 5th Yikes! Who was 6th grade? We used to giggle watching the St Joe freshman with shaving cream on their head. It was a different time, walking to school with my little friends, penny candy at “corner store”, playing wall ball against the neighbor house across the driveway, double-Dutch and Irish jump rope and Chinese with the long stretchy rope around the ankles, hopscotch, Jerry Blavet, listening to WDAS and WIFL (?) on the little transistor radio. It was all magic. It’s amazing how creative us little girls were with all the time in the world to use our imagination 😁 Going door to door collecting pennies for UNICEF with those little orange boxes. So different and filled with magic😄
Can't blame them for thinking that..bc most young Black people claim they from hood, even when not. Everyone, from rappers to regular kids, think it's not cool to post about their nice suburban upbringing
I have some footage of Stenton Ave in my channel. Over 600 videos covering philadelphia neighborhoods. I covered the stenton. And Stanton area before. Both neighborhoods have simular names but are at different sections of the city 🙏
20:31 The chain link fence doesn't necessarily mean a property dispute .. Maybe there are young children, or dogs, that need an enclosure ? Why jump to conclusions?
Can you please stop using "hood" for places that actually aren't ? Wynnefield/ Wynnefield Heights are great areas and always have been. This is where Will Smith grew up.
I think you should possibly find another channel that caters to your liking. I've explained this dozens of times to older viewers. Just because the words hood is used it doesn't have to correlate to a negative connotation. I named my segment "Philadelphia hoods" 5 years ago because what do you get when you remove the root word neighbor from neighbor"hood". You get left with hood. It was just a catchy title. I've documented over 600+ philadelphia virtual tours covering over 100 neighborhoods spanning south, south west, west, northwest, north, north east and center city philadelphia. Whether they were "good" or "bad" places i titled them philadelphia hoods. Not to mention as a content creator we only get 100 text letters to fill in the title with. Why waste precious text space on adding the word "neigbor" to neighborhood. I also documented over 400 tours in 48 states in america. By the way I discontinued virtual tours months ago. What your watching and commenting on is months/years old. Check the dates Have a enchanted day ✨️ 👍
