I think you are the best demo person spitfire have. Everything you say about the sounds really captures exactly what I’m feeling and thinking as I listen.
@george clarkson Lucie Treacher. She's worth checking out. She also has some sample instruments of her own under the brand Folklorica - not very deeply sampled, but very nicely sampled and interesting.
I’m a fan of SA libraries ..to use a word I don’t like but don’t have an alternative for they are eclectic ..they are an invitation to change the way I think or become inspired or step out outside my comfortable palette and all for the price a decent bottle of wine and some random food delivered by moped. I can see gems in this library so I am going to purchase it …I’m hoping to be shortlisted as the composer of the score for the next Alien movie 🤣🤣🤣 we all can dream …. Short or that I will still find pleasure in using it.👏👏👏🙏🙏🏿🦄🎩
Lucie is giving me a real Kang Seulgi kind of vibe. And everyone knows that Seulgi is the greatest Kpop star of all time. My point is that I am going to purchase this just because of Lucie's extraordinary presentation skills. And hopefully we'll get more content from her on the website ;)
Thanks Lucie, this got me even more fired up about the library I was already excited enough about to pre-order last month. Better get it downloaded and installed! 😁🥳
Lovely and compelling presentation by Lucie. ESTÁTICA library deserves to get it for its interesting and unexpected sounds for cinematic, experimental and ambient tracks. Bravo !! :)
Cool sounds and refreshingly well presented. Wouldn’t it be a good idea if this had included LFO's for parameter modulation through midi - and run standalone.. Great for live performances with less likelihood of crashes.
Great overview and great library. Now...if I can only talk you all into doing a "4 for $100" deal on all $29 libraries for the holiday season (or Black Weekend). We can pick any 4 libraries we want and get them for $100. 🙏🏾 🙂
Some interesting sounds and processing in this library. However, lately I've been wondering about buying libraries of sound that have already been developed by someone else. As a composer or musician, are we not always reminded that finding our own voice is possibly one of the most important elements to master? I love Spitfire products and have purchased some of their sofware and it is inspiring. However, I've had some late night thoughts about thousands of composers all sounding like they use Spitfire. Is this where we want to be going? I'm not sure what the solution is for aspiring composers. Perhaps using these products more sparsely would be a start or using the samples and processing in our own particular way to develop a more personal sound. Once again, this is not a critique of Spitfire. I admire them greatly.
I've definitely had similar thoughts regarding vsts, especially ones that are sets of samples rather than an instrument, but I think what you touched on at the end is the solution: processing in our own particular way. Your own music, mixing, effects, context, and what parts of the sound you use are inevitably what determines if people find your sound distinctive. In the inverse, I've heard many songs/pieces that used entirely different vsts/instruments from each-other but still sounded derivative - most people can't afford Zimmer's set up but still manage to sound like they're just copying him, for example. Though I definitely have been feeling some same-y-ness in people's sounds, perhaps the ultimate test of a composer's voice is whether it can still be recognized with the same instruments and sounds used by millions?
This had my attention as soon as I saw the tease for this premiere. Huerte and Fratti make interesting, detailed textures and terrific music. I am properly excited about this release!
(Even though an opinion) I honestly believe the composer community would absolutely value if Spitfire took the time to dedicate an entire library (like the typical 20-50gb) to this style of music and the entire SA recordings catalog, along with some newer scripting (Im thinking the feel of Strezov Sampling or Embertone Joshua Bell Violin style),
Record your cousin practising, clean in RX8, modulate with stock effects in your favourite daw, import into kontakt and design your own patches. On the second session perform your new library and be happy you saved the admission fee, had fun and created something original and unique. FANTASTIKO
Have fun. Lot of people don't know how.. or don't want to try to figure out how to spend hours and hours doing this when they can spend 29 bucks and have tons of it done for them.
@@b3owu1f it's easier and faster than you think. And it's fun too. And even if you just want to buy something ready 29 bucks is overpriced for what it is. Except if you like buying Spitfire image and marketing
What's a 'bespoke pedal collection?' You mean 'a pedal collection?' And the whole Portastudio thing happening now - isn't it all a bit pointlessly retro fetishist rather than sonically essential?
